In the charming world of Tales of the Shire, you have the opportunity to enhance not only your residence but also your adjoining garden. Certain areas within your garden might be enclosed by fences and certain rooms within your house may be secured with locks, limiting access at this time.
To access those rooms, it’s essential to cultivate friendships. In the world of Tales of the Shire, one effective approach is to frequently invite the local hobbits for delightful meals and consistently work on completing your club tasks together.
All House Upgrades in Tales of the Shire
To enhance your home and access all its hidden spaces, you’ll find it beneficial to cultivate a friendship with Willow. Willow, the woman residing in the forest alongside her daughter Daisy, is quite approachable. A simple invitation for dinner a few times should do the trick, and she’ll gradually transform your house into a cozy hobbit hole. Be mindful of preparing dishes from Tales of the Shire that cater to her preferences, striving for the maximum number of stars in the recipe.
- Level 3: Willow will fix your front door in Tales of the Shire.
- Level 6: Willow will unlock a large section in the front of the house.
- Level 10: Willow will unlock a large section in the back of the house toward the kitchen.

All Garden Upgrades in Tales of the Shire

In Tales of the Shire, garden enhancements differ from house improvements. To access various garden areas, open pathways, and even unveil a few rooms directly off the kitchen, you’ll need to participate in club activities. At the start of the game, you have four clubs available: Cooking, Fishing, Foraging, and Gardening. As you cultivate and reap items from your garden, you can complete club missions and earn points to unlock your entire garden. Nearly every level you gain within the gardening club opens a new garden location; in total, there are five such spots.
- Level 1: Unlocks a part of the garden.
- Level 2: Unlocks a part of the garden by the kitchen; it also unlocks those rooms off the kitchen.
- Level 4: Garden space is unlocked.
- Level 5: Last garden space is unlocked.

As a gardening enthusiast in the Tales of the Shire, I’ve found that simply tending to my plants and reaping harvests earns me a bit of XP. However, for a significant boost, I head over to The Ivy Bush Inn and take on quests from the Gardening Club board. Interacting with this board sets me on a path where I either plant or harvest the items it specifies. It’s a great way to level up quickly!
