Silent Hill f wouldn’t have felt complete without giving Hinako a katana to use in combat. In the game, players can obtain a strong katana called the Sacred Sword, which easily defeats enemies. However, getting it isn’t straightforward – you’ll need to find all the Jizo statues in Silent Hill f, and provide offerings for each one, but this is only possible when starting a New Game+. This guide will show you exactly where to find all the Jizo statues, what offerings they require, and how to ultimately get the Sacred Sword.
How to Start the Sacred Sword Puzzle in Silent Hill f
In Silent Hill f, you can unlock the special weapon, the Sacred Sword, by finishing the game once and then starting a New Game+ playthrough. New Game+ opens up areas you couldn’t reach before and introduces new puzzles – completing these will allow you to obtain the Sacred Sword.

After leaving Hinako’s house at the start of the game, continue along the path until you reach the first Hokora Shrine. From the shrine, turn left and follow the path until you see a house with an open door. As you get closer, you’ll also hear creepy, quiet laughter (and you’re not imagining it!).

Once you go through the door, you’ll see a note on the table in the living room. Picking it up begins the Sacred Sword puzzle in Silent Hill f. To get the sword, players need to locate all five Jizo statues hidden around Ebisugaoka and leave an offering at each one.

You can also find the first Jizo statue offering inside this house. Just go upstairs and enter the room to get the Balcony Key. It’s in a box on the floor, right next to the display cabinet.

After you get the key, go to the balcony door and enter the room next to it on the right. The Balcony Key will unlock it, so just walk inside. Once you’re in the room, look to your right – you’ll find the Treasure Hunting Game Key on top of a drawer, along with a note telling you to search for hidden treasure inside locked chests.

You’ll find several small treasure chests hidden around the house. While some hold collectible notes, the one you’re looking for is downstairs in the kitchen. Open the secret chest tucked away behind the kitchen cabinet to obtain the Faded Bride Doll. You’ll need this as an offering for the first Jizo statue, which is close by.
As a big fan of Silent Hill f, I’m really excited to hear that your progress with the Jizo statues carries over between playthroughs! It’s cool that even if you don’t find all of them, or only offer items to some, your efforts still matter and will be remembered in future games. It adds a lot to the experience knowing that building that connection with the statues isn’t just a one-time thing!
All Jizo Statue & Offering Locations in Silent Hill f
First Jizo Statue Location

Once you have the Faded Bride Doll, go to the place shown on the map to find the first Jizo statue in Silent Hill f. Just leave the house and continue down the path until you see a red postbox.

Turn left at the postbox and look for the first Jizo statue, which is positioned between a wooden fence and a large rock. Interact with the Jizo statue to place the Faded Bride Doll on it. You’ve completed the first Jizo statue in Silent Hill f – there are four more to find and leave offerings at.
Second Jizo Statue Location

After finishing the Shrine Path section and heading back to Ebisugaoka (Second Visit) in Silent Hill f, players will find the second Jizo statue. Hinako and Shu will meet up again and then need to search for Rinko at her home.

After you get to the Ebisugaoka rice fields, continue north on the path. You’ll know you’re getting close when you start going uphill and reach the Sakuko family’s Sennensugi Shrine. Be sure to approach near the rope and pay attention to the shrine doors-you can see a unique scene here that you won’t see during your initial playthrough. Once you’ve explored, grab the Rusted Flask offering located among the small Inari-sama (fox) statues on the ground.

To locate the second Jizo statue, return down the path from Sakuko’s shrine, which will trigger a cutscene with Shu. Once the cutscene ends, turn immediately left as you go down, and you’ll find a small area with wooden planks. Go through this area to discover the Jizo statue in a small clearing behind it. Then, interact with the statue to place the Rusted Flask on it.
Third Jizo Statue Location

During Chapter 5: Ebisugaoka (Third Visit), players will find the third Jizo statue in Silent Hill f while on their way to the Middle School. As you leave the town’s canal area and approach the mountainside near the school, a cutscene featuring Shu and Rinko will begin.

Once the cutscene finishes, keep going up the hill until you reach the entrance to Ebisugaoka Middle School. Don’t go inside the school, because doing so will prevent you from finishing the quest for the third Jizo statue. Instead, turn left at the school gates and follow the path down to the damaged bridge.

You’ll find the Broken Japanese Geta Sandal here, right next to some pallets and sacks.

After you obtain the Geta Sandal, return to the central area near the shrine. Climb the stairs located north of the shrine, and immediately turn left when you reach the top. You’ll see the third Jizo statue beside a house. Interact with the statue to offer the Broken Japanese Geta Sandal.
Fourth Jizo Statue Location

You can find the fourth Jizo statue in Silent Hill f near the end of Chapter 8: Ebisugaoka (Fourth Visit). It appears immediately after Hinako gets away from the Fog Monster and goes past the Divine Tree on her way to Shu’s house.

Okay, so when I finally got to Shu’s house, the front door was locked-typical! Luckily, the key was hidden in a shed out back. And get this-the offering for the fourth Jizo statue was right there by the shed too, which was super convenient! It saved me from running around looking for it separately. Finding all the Jizo offerings is proving to be quite the scavenger hunt, but I’m enjoying it!

Okay, so before I go into the shed to grab the key to Shu’s house, I need to quickly check to the right side for the Cracked Hibachi Brazier. It’s apparently the thing I need to offer at the fourth Jizo statue, so I don’t want to forget it!

Return to the path you used to get to Hokora Shrine, the one before Shu’s house. As you walk back, you’ll see the fourth Jizo Statue just before a Tori Gate on your left. All you need to do is interact with the statue to place the Hibachi Cracked Brazier beside it.
Fifth Jizo Statue Location

Okay, so I found the last Jizo statue in Silent Hill f! It’s in Chapter 10: Ebisugaoka (Fifth Visit) – you know, when you’re walking back to Hinako’s house, the Shimizu Residence. As I was going down that path covered in Spider Lilies, I ran into a bunch of enemies. Seriously, be ready for a fight – I had to go in prepared!

As you continue walking past the houses, you’ll come to a courtyard belonging to a home that has a knife stuck in a tree. Finding this scene will allow you to obtain the Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife, which is needed as an offering for the fifth Jizo Statue.

Now, leave the courtyard and walk back a short distance. Look for the fifth Jizo statue – it’s to the left of the house, at the top of a small set of stairs. Place the Dad’s Old Kitchen Knife on the statue. After you’ve offered the last item to the Jizo statue, Hinako will become mesmerized and instruct players to go to the Divine Tree. This is where they will obtain the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f.
How to Get the Sacred Sword (Katana) in Silent Hill f
After you’ve given offerings to all five Jizo statues, head to the Divine Tree to obtain the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f. The tree is along the same path Hinako took when going to Shu’s house, meaning you’ll need to retrace your steps slightly. Use the map shown above to help you find your way and begin your trek.
Remember to get the Sacred Sword before going to Shimizu Residence, or you won’t be able to get it later.

After returning to Shu’s house and then continuing back to the path leading to the Divine Tree (shrine), a cutscene will begin where Hinako obtains the Sacred Sword.

After obtaining the Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f, you’ll unlock the “The Malevolent Blade Never Rusts” trophy. This isn’t just a powerful weapon; it significantly affects which ending you achieve in the game. You can now wield the Sacred Sword to defeat enemies and utilize its unique powers.
- Durability Regeneration: When Sheathed, the Sacred Sword will regenerate its durability. Players will still be able to use toolkits to quicken the process.
- Auto-Deflect: The Sacred Sword does not have a focus attack. However, when players go into Focus mode while the blade is equipped, Hinako will auto-deflect any attack the enemies throw at her.
- High Damage: The Sacred Sword in Silent Hill f has a unique slicing combo that also happens to deal significantly high damage compared to other weapons in the game.
If players decide to purify the Sacred Sword, it will lose the majority of its special abilities. This will make it function as a standard weapon, having a straightforward set of moves similar to other weapons.
