All Kuji Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In the creative design of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, one notable feature is its distribution of extensive narrative content throughout the game map. A prime instance of this can be found in the Kuji-Kiri points, which serve as small meditative spaces where the character Naoe reflects on her past. These spots provide players with insights into the childhood of the young assassin and the days gone by in Iga, prior to Lord Nobunaga’s invasion, offering a richer understanding of the game’s backstory.

In the game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” most of the Kuji-Kiri points become available once the player is free to explore the map, with one exception linked to the main storyline. Players eager for story details about Naoe and the game world can freely discover and complete the Kuji-Kiri memories. However, be aware that some of these locations involve boss fights and will pit you against powerful enemies. With this in mind, here’s a guide on locating all the Kuji-Kiri points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Izumi Settsu Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In my gaming adventure, I’ve found that the starting area of the game boasts a total of 5 Kuji-Kiri spots, conveniently located near each other. This makes them quite straightforward to uncover for newcomers like myself. Since this is the initial region, I haven’t encountered any underleveling issues in the memories here. That means it’s the perfect place to kickstart my quest to clear those Kuji-Kiri missions!

Tomiko’s Homestead

The initial hidden location, where Tomiko dwells, is found within her hideaway. This secret place can be uncovered on the eastern part, right in the center of a tiny pond, inside the hideaway.

Sacred Bridge

Shift your location towards the southeasterly direction from the hiding spot, and cross a diminutive waterway along the way. Further ahead, there’s a minor tributary of the river that directs you towards a mountain peak. It is on this mountain where the upcoming Kuji-Kiri can be found.

Or simply:

Head southeast from your hideout, cross a little stream, then follow a small river branch to a mountain. That’s where the next Kuji-Kiri awaits you.

Eboshigata Hachiman Shrine

As a gamer, I recall crossing a river en route to the Sacred Bridge earlier. Head westward following the same river, and you’ll eventually stumble upon a shrine nestled in the northwest corner of Kawachi Heights – it’s there where you can find the third Kuji-Kiri artifact of this region.

Rolling Glen

To reach the next Kuji-Kiri, head northwest across the river, then you’ll spot it nestled between two hills to the east of Osaka before you get to the primary castle.

Or simply:

To find the next Kuji-Kiri, cross the river towards the northwest, and it will be located between two hills on the eastern side of Osaka before you arrive at the main castle.

The Lumber Aisle

The last Kuji-Kiri here can be found along the northwestern shoreline of Izumi Settsu. It’s situated to the west of the village of Amagasaki, bordering directly on the sea.

Yamato Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In this particular region, you’ll find a pair of Kuji-Kiri locations. These specific sites are situated on the eastern part of Yamato.

Soni Highlands

Located to the south-east of Uda Matsuyama, in the region of Yamato, you’ll find a rather small waterbody known as Kuji-Kiri. Interestingly, it sits on the western bank of this body of water, right beside the road.

Or more concisely:

In the southeast of Uda Matsuyama, Yamato, lies a modest waterbody named Kuji-Kiri. It’s situated on the west side of the water, adjacent to the road.

Nyoirinji Temple

1. Head southward from the current location of Kuji-Kiri.

2. Continue moving beyond the vast river that runs through the region.

3. A small temple can be found northeast of Yoshino, and this is where you’ll find the Kuji-Kiri.

Kii Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In addition to this area, you’ll find two Kuji-Kiri points – one lies southeast and another southwest of Kii. Notably, this region is the most advanced in ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’, so it’s crucial to gear up for any possible confrontations.

Shores Of Kii

Travel along the shores of Sazae Oni Rivers, heading southward until you come across the ocean. Once there, maintain a course by following the shoreline as you move towards the eastern direction. The Kuji-Kiri can be found alongside the roadway and close to the coastline.

Nachi Falls

Relocate to the easternmost section of this region, where you’ll find the Kuji-Kiri. This significant site is nestled in the southeastern part of Kumano Sanzan. It’s essentially on the border of a waterfall that transforms into a river and eventually flows into the ocean in the southern part of Kii.

Iga Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Naoe hails from Iga, a place known for having two significant spots called Kuji-Kiri. However, you can only reach one of these points by advancing through the main storyline.

Cliffside Buddha

In the heart where Iga meets Yamato, nestled in the southwest corner of this vast region, you’ll find the mystical landmark known as Kuji-Kiri. If you were to draw a line horizontally from Nabari Wilds in the Iga territory and Todaiji in Yamato, the enigmatic beauty of Kuji-Kiri would be right smack dab in the middle of that line.

Naoe’s House

In simple terms, the Kuji-Kiri can only be accessed through advancement in the main storyline. This particular location is found within Naoe’s childhood home situated in the Mibuno Valley of Iga. However, since the Kuji-Kiri isn’t interactive at this location, there’s no need to visit it. Instead, you will gain access to it during the quest called “Mind and Body”.

Harima Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Harima is situated to the west of Izumi Settsu, and it has the unique distinction of hosting two significant landmarks known as Kuji-Kiri points. These important sites are positioned in the northern area of this region.

Mount Sen

Almost at the boundary between Harima and Tamba, you’ll find the breathtaking viewpoint known as Kuji-Kiri. By traversing from Kamakura Valley towards the northwest, you’ll eventually stumble upon this scenic spot, perched majestically on a cliff overlooking the main road.

Harima’s Peak

To locate the Kuji-Kiri, travel northwest of Harima for a considerable distance. After reaching Mount Kasagata, proceed straight towards the west. Once you cross a small river, look for the Kuji-Kiri on the cliff that lies beyond the watercourse.

Tamba Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In Tamba, you can find two locations known as Kuji-Kiris. This area boasts several large urban centers, and one of these distinctive spots can be found within a city itself.

Sheirinji Temple

This hidden sanctuary, nestled in a secluded corner of Kameyama city’s southeastern district, lies within a broader southeastern region. If your skills aren’t quite up to par yet, it would be wise to slip unnoticed into the temple grounds without alerting the guards.

Sukyoji Bell

Head northwest towards Miyazu Bay’s city, and then proceed south along the river dividing the city. The Kuji-Kiri is located west of this river, within Sukyoji Temple to your left side.

Yamashiro Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Nestled right at the heart of our gaming world, I find myself in Yamashiro – a region that follows Izumi Settsu as the second tier in this intriguing game. Notably, it boasts an impressive trio of Kuji-Kiris!

The Cliffs Of Thought

The enigmatic Kuji-Kiri is located in the western part of Yamashiro, specifically near the city of Shoryuji. If you travel westward from this city, you’ll find it perched atop a cliff alongside the road.

Ginkakuji Temple

Head up towards the higher part of Kyoto city initially, then shift your direction eastward. Once you reach the river, continue moving ahead in the same orientation until you spot a secluded temple, nestled among trees and featuring two ponds. This is the place where the Kuji-Kiri can be found.

Kuramadera Temple

The location you’re seeking lies at the most northerly point of the region. If you travel northwest from Genbu Highlands, you’ll encounter Kuramadera Temple. Leaving the temple towards the north direction takes you to Kuji-Kiri.

Wakasa Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In the Wakasa region, you can discover two more sets of Kuji-Kiri; one is situated along the northern shore, while another lies near the boundary with Omi.

Kaji Monzekii Temple

This Kuji-Kiri is situated on the border between Omi and Wakasa, specifically near a marshy region that lies to the southeast of Onyu Pass. While the marshy area falls within the boundaries of Omi, the Kuji-Kiri itself is actually located within Wakasa.

Pond Of The Heron

To find the city of Obama, travel towards its western coast in Wakasa. From the city’s lower section, proceed westward, crossing a bridge until you reach the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea. This is where you will discover the Kuji-Kiri.

Omi Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In the game, the final two Kuji-Kiri points can be found in the breathtakingly beautiful region of Omi. This area boasts a vast lake right at its heart.

Three-Trunked Tree

The Kuji-Kiri is situated on the western bank of the lake. By traversing northward from Mount Hiei, you’ll come across a body of water accompanied by a towering precipice. Climb to the summit of the cliff to discover the elusive Kuji-Kiri.

Waterfall

To locate the last Kuji-Kiri, head northeast from Takashima Shores. Continue your journey until you encounter a waterfall nestled between two waterbodies. You’ll find the elusive Kuji-Kiri situated to the north of this waterfall.
