All Legendary Weapons in Dying Light The Beast

In Dying Light: The Beast, players have access to a wide variety of weapons to fight zombies and protect the people of Castor Woods from the cruel Baron. The most powerful of these are Legendary Grade weapons, which are highly effective against both zombies and human opponents.

Looking for Legendary Weapons in Dying Light: The Beast? This guide details where to find every type of Legendary Weapon in the game, with specific locations for each one.

All Special Legendary Weapons & Where To Find Them

Special Legendary Weapons are rare and powerful melee weapons and guns. You can earn them by completing specific tasks or discovering them in hidden locations. The following details every Special Legendary Weapon and where to locate each one.

The Needle (SMG)

You can find a hidden location – the Mountain Reserve Ranger Station – northeast of the Mountain Shelter Tower Safe Zone (Northeast D5). It’s not on the map, so head in that direction to find it. Look for a cabin next to the main, closed building, on the right. Turn on the generator, then connect the cable from it to the side of the garage. This will start opening the garage door. Be prepared to fight off Virals that are attracted by the noise! It’s best to do this during the day. Once inside, pick the lock on the door in the far left corner. You’ll find a Legendary SMG called ‘The Needle’ and some SMG ammo on the shelves.

Sunray (Revolver)

Head to the Villa Area, located in the northeast part of the map, and then to the Golden Pine region. Find the roundabout on the upper side of the area and continue traveling northwest until you see two separate houses. One of these houses contains a Dark Zone (Vanity Store), but you want the *other* one. Go to the backyard and look for a broken window and a cellar door. Enter the house and find the bathroom. Inside, you’ll find a sleeping zombie and a body with a Fuse. Defeat the zombie and collect the Fuse.

Head back outside and open the cellar hatch. Once inside, replace the fuse in the electrical panel, then open the newly unlocked door. You’ll see a poster of the Bloody Bunnies. In front of the table, there’s a hole in the wall with a safe inside. Enter the code 2-2-19 to open the safe and get the Sunray Revolver.

The Eraser (Auto Rifle)

Head to the Farmlands and find the Farms Tower safe spot. From there, move diagonally southeast until you see a ruined building swarming with zombies. Pay attention to a zombie that spits from a small balcony within the ruins. Clear out the zombies, then investigate the area where the spitting zombie was standing. You’ll find a Power Panel needing a Power Cable and a Hatch underneath. Turn around and walk a short distance until you spot a small shed. Access the shed through the vent on the back – you may need to break some crates to get in. Once inside, open the gate and start up the Diesel Generator. Grab the Power Cable and return to the Power Panel in the ruins to connect it.

First, attach the cable, then go down into the basement by opening the hatch. Inside, you’ll find a large shelf you need to move to uncover an air vent. Crawl through the vent to reach a small room with another Power Panel. Next, go back outside and take the Power Cable from the panel in the ruins. Drag the cable back down into the basement, go through the vent again, and connect it to the second Power Panel. This will unlock all the doors, including the one containing The Eraser, a powerful Legendary Auto Rifle.

The Statement (Shotgun)

You can find the Statement Shotgun in the Pembroke area (specifically grid squares B7 and B8). On the map, head south along the ‘r’ in ‘Pembroke’ and look for a few buildings where B7 and B8 meet. Find the small building with sunflowers growing against the wall, then check the lower right side for a vent. Remove the vent cover and crawl inside. Unlock the tool shed door, start the diesel generator, and take the power cable from the panel. Connect this cable to the panel on the building directly across from the door. Open the garage door, defeat the zombie inside, and you’ll find the Legendary Shotgun on the workbench.

The Elite (Pistol)

Head to the Red Bridge and cross over to the area between the Monastery and the Mountain Shelter. You’ll find some old cargo containers, two of which are locked. Use your instincts to identify the container with a zombie inside, then pick the lock and defeat the zombie to get the Key Card. Next, open the other locked container and return to the west side of the bridge. Locate the open container with a sleeping person and two fuel canisters. Beside it, you’ll see a large generator and a Power Cable. Start the generator, defend Kyle from the incoming Virals, and then grab the Power Cable. Carefully drag the cable to the second unlocked container, avoiding the zombie that emerges from the last closed container on the right. Connect the cable, insert the Key Card into the panel, and claim your reward: the Elite Pistol.

Strauss&Broda Machete

To find the Strauss & Broda Legendary Machete, head to the Industrial Zone and locate the ‘Taxi’ building on the map. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the rooftop. Once you’re up there, pick the hard lock on the small shed to enter. Inside, you’ll find a locked box on the wall with a ‘Knock’ prompt. You’ll need to knock on it repeatedly – it takes around 50 knocks – to open the box and get the machete.

EXPCalibur II

Head to the southeast side of the Monastery and cross the river to reach the Camping Zone. You’ll find a safe spot in the Camping Tower to your right, and a large rock formation further east. EXPCalibur II is located on top of this rock, which you can climb. However, you’ll need to collect eight Sigil Stones hidden throughout Castor Woods to unlock it. Once you have all the stones, return to the sword and place them in the pentagram around it. This will summon a Zombie Charger – defeat it, then turn to face the sword. Hold the action key for a few minutes while Kyle attempts to draw the Sword and obtain the Blueprint.

Ciupaga

Okay, so I found this awesome Legendary Axe! It’s like Mjolnir – you can throw it, and it actually comes right back to you. You can grab it at the Mountain Resort, which is above the Safe Zone at the Mountain Shelter Tower (it’s marked as D5 on the map). Head up to the balcony outside the attic on the third floor, and look above that blocked-up window – the Ciupaga Axe is mounted on the wall. Seriously, it’s cool. And if you’re doing the ‘Stay Human’ quest, you’ll automatically be led right to this area, so make sure you snag it while you’re there!

Last Hand of Glova

Head back to the bridge where you found The Elite Pistol. On the other side, find the broken-down tunnel and search for a green wall with the 9 3/4 symbol on it. Walk through the wall and keep digging through the blocks until you see a door with zombies guarding it. Clear out the zombies, then venture deeper into the tunnel to discover a train car filled with weapons labeled ‘Golden Ticket’. You’ll find the blueprint for the Last Hand of Glova on top of one of the crates containing Ingots.

Special DLC Weapons

Players who pre-ordered the game received a special bonus called ‘Survivor of Harran,’ which instantly unlocked these unique, powerful weapons:

  • Jade’s Memory Handgun
  • The Follower Crossbow
  • Harran Combat Knife

You’ll automatically receive these rewards in the Reward Tab of your stash as soon as you unlock the Monastery Safe Zone. If you bought the Castor Woods Prepper bundle, you’ll also get the Survivor SMG, which is only the second legendary SMG available in the game.
