As a seasoned adventurer who’s seen my fair share of treasures and trinkets, I must say, the Mini-Medal Manor is a sight to behold! It’s like stepping into a treasure chest of goodies, each item more intriguing than the last. From the humble Leather Dress to the mighty Scourge Whip, these items have been my companions in countless battles and journeys.
In the remake of Dragon Quest 3, players will discover a variety of collectibles during their travels, one of which is the intriguing item called the Mini-Medal. Newcomers might come across this item early on and be unsure of its purpose since the game doesn’t provide an immediate explanation. However, you can use these Mini-Medals even before the game offers any guidance about them. This guide will show you how to utilize Mini-Medals in Dragon Quest 3 Remake, as well as where to find them.
Mini-Medals in Dragon Quest 3 Remake, Explained
In the remake of Dragon Quest 3, there are items known as Mini-Medals that can be exchanged for various benefits. Starting right from the beginning of the game, you’ll start finding these Mini-Medals hidden all around the game environment. Just like in the original Dragon Quest 3, when you bring your collected Mini-Medals to a specific location within Aliahan, the game’s main city, you’ll receive your rewards.
There are
110 Mini-Medals
spread throughout the game world of
Dragon Quest 3 Remake.
In the original Dragon Quest 3 game, players earned a reward for every fifth Mini-Medal they submitted. However, this is not how it works in the remake version. Instead, the first reward is granted after handing in just two Mini-Medals, and the conditions for subsequent rewards change significantly from thereon. You can find the full list of rewards in the section dedicated to rewards that follows.
Where to Find Mini-Medals in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
In simpler terms, you can find Mini-Medals in standard hiding spots such as chests, pots, barrels, and buried treasure sites. At the moment, these are the only identified locations where they can be found. A separate guide will provide details about the precise location of all 110 Mini-Medals later on.
Where to Find Treasure in Dragon Quest 3 Remake:
In Dragon Quest 3 Remake, various forms of loot can be discovered almost anywhere. Treasure Chests are primarily hidden within dungeons, but Pots and Barrels can be spotted just about anywhere you go. Don’t forget to scan the surroundings in towns carefully, as these two types of treasure often lurk in their hidden corners.
What to Do With Mini-Medals in Dragon Quest 3 Remake
After amassing multiple Mini-Medals, your next step would be to visit the “Mini-Medal Mansion” situated in Aliahan. This mansion is nestled at the base of a well, which can be found in the southeastern part of town. To descend, just walk up to the well and follow the instructions when prompted. You’ll end up in an entirely new underground section beneath the town. Follow the path, and you’ll eventually arrive at Mini-Medal Mansion.
Upon entering, make your way to the counter and engage with Morgan Minimann. If you’re not carrying any Mini-Medals when you get there, he’ll clarify how the system operates. However, if you do have some medals on hand, they’ll be automatically handed over, and you’ll immediately begin receiving your rewards.
