The Winter’s Jest event is happening now in Phasmophobia! Players are enjoying the challenge of avoiding Krampus while trying to fill his bag with gifts – and being spooked by jack-in-the-boxes. One tricky part? Some of the symbols on the naughty-or-nice list can be difficult to read. This guide will help you understand each symbol and the gift it represents, so you can find the right presents and toss them into Krampus’s bag by the front door.
We’ve added the gift locations to the Edgefield Road map to help players understand how things work on this smaller map. Luckily, gifts always appear in the same spot there, but finding them on the other maps will be trickier. There are four different maps used each day during the Winter’s Jest event.
If a list requires multiple of the same gifts, they can be found in the same room.
All Nice List Symbols & Gifts In Phasmophobia
In Phasmophobia, there are nine different gifts to discover for players on the nice list. Luckily, you won’t find all of them in a single investigation. Many of the gift locations make sense based on what they are – like finding the Gingerbread Man in the kitchen, Candy Canes on the dining room table, or the Elf in a child’s bedroom. Hopefully, this pattern will be consistent across all the maps.

If the player puts the wrong item in the bag, they’ll receive coal and the objective will fail.
All Naughty List Symbols & Gifts In Phasmophobia
In Phasmophobia, there are only three gifts you need to find for the naughty list. We’ll refer to them as Twigs, Coal, and Stones, though they don’t have official names and may appear differently. At least on the 42 Edgefield Road map, you can find these gifts in dark areas like utility rooms and basements—Coal is often near the fireplace. Use this same idea to locate gifts on other maps.
All the naughty list gifts have a red ribbon tied around them.
Twigs
- 42 Edgefield Road: In the basement, on a table.
Coal
- 42 Edgefield Road: By the fireplace in the front room.
Stones
- 42 Edgefield Road: In the utility room behind the kitchen.
