Wolf Link

From The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Fans of the Zelda series will remember Wolf Link from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Originally a GameCube game, it was also released for the Wii and Wii U. In Twilight Princess, Link can transform into a wolf, which is how Wolf Link gets his name.

Okay, so I’ve been using the Wolf Link amiibo in a few of my games, and it’s pretty cool! I can bring him into Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and even Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In Animal Crossing, he’s a bit of a snooty villager, which is funny, and his birthday is December 2nd. The best part is his house – it’s totally decked out with stuff from the Zelda games. As a Zelda fan, it’s awesome to see!

Cece

From the Splatoon Series

Fans of Splatoon often notice a strong resemblance between the character Cece and Callie, a popular singer from the Splatoon games. This connection is intentional: scanning the Callie amiibo in Animal Crossing: New Leaf will bring Cece to your campsite. Similarly, using many of the Splatoon amiibo in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will also summon Cece to visit.

When she settles in, people will quickly see that her home’s walls are covered in paint. As a tribute to the many Splatfests held in the game Splatoon, she’s decorated her back wall with signs representing opposing teams.

Medli

From The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

While bird villagers aren’t always fan favorites in Animal Crossing, Medli is a particularly likable one. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is a beloved game in the Zelda series, known for its charming cartoon style and innovative gameplay. It also features some of the most memorable characters in the entire franchise.

Medli is a charming character in the game. You’ll first meet her on Dragon’s Roost Island, where she plays the harp and is important to the story. In New Leaf, you can invite her to live on your island by scanning the Toon Link amiibo.

Viché

From the Splatoon Series

If you scan Callie’s amiibo in the game, you’ll meet a villager named Cece. Scanning Marie’s amiibo will bring Viché to your town. It’s interesting to note that Callie and Marie are cousins in Splatoon, but they’re portrayed as sisters in Animal Crossing.

Viché’s room in the game is almost identical to her sister’s, with the only difference being the color of the chairs – Viché has green ones, while her sister has pink.

Ganon

From the Zelda Series

The world of Animal Crossing is filled with diverse animals of all kinds. Even though some are based on potentially dangerous creatures in real life, the villagers in the game are generally friendly and kind. Take Ganon, for example: while he’s a fearsome villain in The Legend of Zelda, his Animal Crossing version is surprisingly charming. He might be a bit grumpy, but he’s definitely not mean or unpleasant.

Okay, so I scanned my Ganondorf amiibo in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and seriously, Ganon showed up at my campsite! I managed to convince him to move in, and it was totally worth it. His house is decorated with this awesome, classic *Zeldathemed wallpaper and flooring – it’s a really cool throwback for any fan!

Epona

From the Zelda Series

Epona, Link’s faithful horse, first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and has since become a beloved and recurring character in the Zelda series.

This cute horse has become a lively character in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Players can invite her to their campsite by scanning the Sheik, Link’s Rider, Majora’s Mask, and Ocarina of Time amiibo figures.

Inkwell

From the Splatoon Series

Inkwell is a character from the game inspired by Splatoon. He isn’t based on one specific character from the game, but instead represents the Inkling species in general.

You won’t find any squid villagers in the game Animal Crossing, so Inkwell is designed as an octopus instead – they’re pretty similar! Also, his ‘jock’ personality might be inspired by Inklings, who are known for being energetic, competitive, and loving a good challenge.
