
Arcadia-7 in StarRupture is full of valuable resources, but you’ll have to work to get them. Building, upgrading, and launching supplies all rely on finding and mining the planet’s different ores. While some ores are easy to find close to where you land, others are much more hidden. This guide will show you all five ore types in StarRupture, including where to locate them and how to extract them.
All Ores in StarRupture & Where to Find Them
Currently, there are five ore types available on Arcadia-7:
- Wolfram
- Titanium
- Calcium
- Helium-3
- Sulfur
Every type of ore looks different, appears in the game in unique ways, and needs specific methods to collect. Some ores can be gathered by hand or with simple tools, but others need advanced equipment and a powerful corporation to extract.
Wolfram
In the game StarRupture, Wolfram is the most frequently found ore. You’ll actually discover it early on in the tutorial! It looks similar to copper, with brown streaks in the rock, but you can easily spot it thanks to the small, arch-shaped formations often found within the veins.
You can gather Wolfram in three ways:
- Mine it manually using your mining tool.
- Place an Ore Excavator on a flat vein on the ground.
- Pick up smaller brown chunks scattered on the ground.
You can find Wolfram near your landing site, close to the Orbital Lander. Larger deposits are located to the north and northeast. There’s also a significant Wolfram vein way up north on the map.
To automatically collect Wolfram, you need to connect your Ore Excavator to a power source. Once both are linked with platforms or rails, the mining process will start.
Titanium
Titanium is the second material you’ll learn about in the tutorial, and it’s extracted much like Wolfram. The main difference is that titanium is found in smaller, more scattered deposits.
Titanium veins are rocky and a dull gray color. On the map, they look like small gray circles or groups close together. You can find them near where you begin the game, and there are a lot more of them to the north and northeast of the Orbital Lander.
Titanium, similar to Wolfram, can be obtained in a few ways: by mining it by hand, using an Ore Excavator, gathering it from small gray rocks, or collecting it from meteorites.
Calcium
After the initial tutorial, calcium is the first resource you’ll need to find. You’ll explore the world to locate and mine calcium deposits.
Look for bright white, vein-like patterns that resemble teeth in areas that appear damp. Once you know what to look for, these calcium deposits are quite noticeable, appearing as white structures within moist ground.
You can find Calcium relatively early in the game in a few places. Check north of where you begin, and also to the east of the Orbital Lander. Larger deposits of Calcium veins are located further northeast, past the mountains.
Helium-3
Helium-3 becomes useful later in the game, but you can start gathering it right away. Look for small rocks with purple gas or inside meteorites – these will give you a small amount of Helium-3, which is enough for the early stages of the game.
To collect Helium-3, you’ll need to locate purple geysers on the map. These geysers are uncommon and don’t move, but one location is blocked by an old, abandoned base.
You can find more Helium-3 geysers in the far north and east areas around the Orbital Lander. Additionally, there’s a cluster of three geysers located north of the large Calcium deposit in the northeast part of the map.
Sulfur
Sulfur is the trickiest resource to find in StarRupture. It’s different from everything else because it doesn’t just sit on the surface – you have to actively mine for it to get any at all.
Sulfur veins are easy to spot. The air around them is harsh and can harm you immediately. On the map, they’re shown as bright yellow areas.
To get Sulfur, first you need to upgrade Selenian Corporation to level nine, which unlocks the Sulfur Extractor. After that, just wait for a rupture event to occur.
You can only safely reach sulfur veins after an eruption, when the heat dies down and the air becomes less harmful. Getting there too soon prevents you from setting up the necessary equipment, making sulfur harvesting difficult. It requires careful planning and a quick response once conditions improve.
