How to Recruit More Squad Leaders
You can recruit a new Specialist (SL) by buying a Dossier from the Black Market. Once you have a Dossier, go to the Hire screen and choose the SL you want. Hiring them costs 30 Authority, so choose wisely and make sure they fit your overall plan.
Best Starting Squad Leaders in MENACE
When you begin a new game, you’ll choose 4 units from a selection of 8. Each unit leader in MENACE has a different cost to maintain, so managing your resources is important. Here are some recommended starting teams for new players:
Darby, Pike, Carda, Rewa
Darby is a key player in this team because she starts with strong stats. She manages her actions more efficiently than other Infantry leaders, and she’s also a much better shooter. As with any strategy game, using your action points wisely is crucial, and Darby ensures every turn she takes is impactful.
Rewa and Carda will be your main fighting force, leading the charge, while Pike will provide backup with powerful weapons and his leadership ability. It’s important to let Carda gain experience and become as strong as Darby will be later in the game.
Achilleas, Lim, Pike, Carda
This setup is best for players who enjoy using vehicles in battle. Achilleas has better base stats than Rewa and unlocks a perk early on that boosts his ability to pierce enemy armor. However, heβs significantly more expensive to deploy, requiring twice the resources.
Since Achilleas is expensive to use, prioritize developing Carda as much as you can. She’s a relatively cheap unit with the potential to become very powerful. Team her up with Lim as your main attacker and Pike for support whenever possible. To free up resources, consider using other low-cost Squad Leaders or shrinking your squad sizes to carry more supplies.
