In the game Astro Bot, you’ll find the “Ghouls and Bots” stage nestled within the Lost Galaxy region. This area is unlocked by locating the hidden exit (portal) in the Free Big Brother stage. To fully complete this level, you need to gather two puzzle pieces and save five bots. Here’s a useful guide for achieving a perfect run in “Ghouls and Bots”.
Astro Bot: Ghouls and Bots – Bot 1
At the onset of the stage, you’ll initially glide through some mud, reaching the initial checkpoint. To your right, just beyond the first cluster of monsters, you’ll spot a spiral blue symbol nestled by a tree.
Employ your rotating, electrified action on the star to uncover a concealed region where you’ll find the initial hidden Bot of Ghouls and Bots.
Astro Bot: Ghouls and Bots – Bot 2
After leaping across the shattered remnants of a bridge, you will arrive at the second checkpoint. Slay the jack-o’-lantern creatures and disconnect the cables embedded in the ground to discover a light bulb.
Turn towards the tree on the right and throw the bulb at it to find a second Bot.
Astro Bot: Ghouls and Bots – Bot 3
At the upcoming control point, you’ll get another light bulb. Utilize this light source to jump across towards the wall situated on the left side of the room and throw the light at the monstrous head carved into that wall. After obliterating it, a concealed robot will emerge for the third time.
Astro Bot: Ghouls and Bots – Puzzle Piece 1
In time, you’ll dash next to a wall to hit a checkpoint, where a floating, green specter lurks. To vanquish this sprite, find the mobile light bulb and hurl it at the creature.
Once more, I seize the light and stride toward the castle’s entrance, yet veer off course to seek the hidden puzzle piece on the right. These elusive platforms, unseen to the naked eye, may aid me in snagging the coveted collectible.
Astro Bot: Ghouls and Bots – Bot 4
Near where you found your first puzzle piece, glance to your left. In the distance, you’ll spot a cauldron. Toss a light bulb in its direction. Upon hitting it, the cauldron will shatter, releasing purple liquid that trickles onto some unseen platforms.
Jump your way over to where the cauldron was, and you can rescue the fourth Bot in Ghouls and Bots.
Astro Bot: Ghouls and Bots – Puzzle Piece 2
Upon entering the castle with your initial Puzzle Piece, you will then ascend a lengthy rope that hangs over a chandelier.
As you ascend, rotate the camera to find a puzzle piece tucked away in a little nook, waiting to be collected.
Astro Bot: Ghouls and Bots – Bot 5
While ascending the castle’s rope, you’ll come across yet another one of those spectral figures in green. To eliminate them, you’ll need to use a light bulb. Once the specter disappears, the gate will open, revealing the last checkpoint.
As I tread across this precarious bridge, it creaks ominously beneath my feet, collapsing to usher me into a thrilling mini-game. Armed with my DualSense controller, I’m tasked with blasting ghostly apparitions that appear before me. As I approach the end of this stage, a chilling spectacle greets my eyes – the Pyramid Head Bot stands menacingly on the bridge railing.
