In addition to restoring water and collecting items, players in Sword of the Sea also encounter Trick Attack Areas where they can earn currency by achieving high scores. Furthermore, there are rideable animals throughout the game that add an extra layer of excitement. While these features are optional, they significantly enhance the overall gaming experience, making the journey even more engaging and pleasurable. All Ridable Animals and Where to Find Them in Sword of the Sea

Orca

  • Veiled Sea

Once you arrive at the golden door flanked by two chains, start with the left chain initially, then proceed towards the glowing lanterns that summon jellyfish. After activating the water source nearby, expect to see massive Orcas beginning to circle gracefully around the enchanting surroundings. You can climb onto any one of these creatures, and upon dismounting, you’ll earn the “Orca Rider” trophy or achievement.

Archelon

  • Lost Grotto

After flipping the four switches, you’ll find yourself in a new location where your task is to replenish the water at the summit of the building. Upon completion, the area will be inhabited by giant water turtles known as Archelons. Climb aboard these creatures to claim the second trophy.

Humpback Whale

  • Shadow Tundra

Make your way to the specified location until you spot a big stone sculpture. To bring the surrounding waters back to life, activate the water source nearby. This action will summon a Humpback Whale which you can then hop on board to achieve the third milestone.

Elasmosaur

  • Shadow Tundra

Upon leaving the pillar room and acquiring the Wisp from the pillars to activate Boost (if needed), move towards the right side of the area where you’ll discover an entrance leading into a compact enclosed space. Inside this secluded area, replenish the water supply, thereby summoning an Elasmosaur that can be mounted.

To get to this location, you may need to climb the mountain, take a leap down afterwards, and utilize the jellyfish trampoline to propel yourself forward.

Sperm Whale

  • Sacred River

Upon turning on the water feature, the floating yellow seaweed, known as kelp, rises to the surface. Subsequently, massive Sperm Whales emerge, offering an opportunity to ride them for the “Whale Rider” achievement.

Whale Shark

  • Sacred River

Advance to the penultimate level, where you’ll find two small ships connected by a chain to a larger one. Interact with the controls to lift the ship, flooding the region again. This action will attract a Whale Shark. Climb aboard and leap off to grab the next trophy.

Blue Whale

  • Sacred River

The last climabbable creature can be found atop the drifting island, a key location in the main plot. Navigate there utilizing your Water Glide skill. Upon reaching the summit, revitalize the water surrounding you to summon the Blue Whales, necessary for the final accomplishment.
