Rotom and all of its different forms will be available in the upcoming Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC. However, finding this unique Ghost-type Pokemon isn’t as simple as it appears.

This guide will show you how to find and catch Rotom and all of its different forms. You might even get lucky and find a shiny Rotom, but it’s notoriously hard to tell apart from the normal one, which has caused some debate among players.

Where To Find All Rotom Forms in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC

This Pokémon isn’t available until players finish the main mission, ‘Hyperspace Lumiose Survey,’ from the Mega Dimension DLC.

Players need to finish Post-Game Missions 12, 13, and 14, which require catching specific Pokémon. To start, talk to Corbeau and complete a series of tasks to make three unique Special Donuts.

After finishing Ansha’s request to see Rayquaza, players need to speak with Corbeau again—he’s become a key character in the Mega Dimension DLC by this point.

He’ll be discussing Special Scans and asking trainers to gather enough points for a new Hyperspace Lumiose Survey. To do this, enter Distortions, finish tasks, and earn points. When you’ve collected enough, return to the Rust Syndicate with the data.

Corbeau will tell you that after finishing each Survey, you can perform a Special Scan by speaking with Phillipe, who is standing nearby. Simply talk to Phillipe and agree to the scan. This will uncover unique 5-Star Distortions, which will stay visible until you perform another scan and replace them.

Okay, so the first scan showed me this crazy rift with a Pokemon that literally looks like a bolt of lightning – it’s Rotom! Honestly, I was totally shocked when I found out you have to cook a level 100 Donut to jump in. It’s a bit weird, but apparently, that’s how you get into the rift (it’s located in…).

All the different forms of Rotom are showing up in this rift, and players need to be quick to catch them before time runs out. Luckily, they appear in small groups, making them relatively easy to find and catch.

We also suggest making a Sparkling Power Donut. You can craft one by combining 5 Hyper Occa Berries and 3 Hyper Chople Berries. This will significantly increase your odds of finding a Shiny Rotom, no matter what form it takes.
