Begin your search near the Wrecked Boat on the western side of the island. Walk along the shoreline to the left, heading towards where the Sumoto and Fukura areas connect on the map. You’ll soon see a lone, gnarled tree with several boats around it. Use the ‘Observe’ function to uncover the hidden golden treasure underneath the tree.

Unlocking Yasuhira’s Secret earns you the Master Fisherman’s Outfit, powerful armor for Yasuke. This armor reduces damage by 25% when you’re surrounded by four or more enemies – a helpful ability given the frequent ambushes in Awaji, where you often face groups of shinobi. It’s also great for the challenging fights in the *Claws of Awaji* DLC, where Yasuke commonly battles multiple opponents. Plus, the outfit has a cool, wandering samurai look if you prefer that style over a heavily armored appearance.

Claws of Awaji – Nowaki’s Memento Letter Text, Location, and Reward

Here’s how to get the legendary item, Nowaki’s Memento, for Naoe. Here’s the complete text of the letter you need:

“A letter from Nowaki.

She has constructed a hiding place for her prized kusarigama.(1/3)

The trees point the way to her hiding place. (2/3)

To find where she’s hidden, start at the fork in the road just west of Kanaguchi Village – you’ll know it by the five stone lanterns.

Finding this location is probably the most challenging part of the game. The five stone lanterns that mark the beginning are located far to the west of Kanaguchi Village, near the Eshima Trail marker. The path to the hideout itself can be difficult to follow, so if you have access to the Iwaya Castle synchronization point, using that is a good alternative.

Go down the slope, cross the small pond by the training area (watch out for enemies!), and climb over the fence. Continue straight into the bushes, and you’ll soon reach a bright, open space by the water. You’ll find a large nest built from branches there – that’s where you can collect the reward for Nowaki’s Memento in *Claws of Awaji*.

Nowaki’s best weapon is the Ophidian Feeder, a powerful kusarigama with a special inscription: “Rush Assassination triggers a slowdown effect.” This effect only works with kusarigama weapons because the Rush Assassination skill needs a kusarigama to get close enough for the attack. The Ophidian Feeder also increases critical damage and has a unique design that many players enjoy.
