All Soaks in Chapter 4 of Black Myth: Wukong (The Webbed Hollow)

All Soaks in Chapter 4 of Black Myth: Wukong (The Webbed Hollow)

As a seasoned adventurer who’s journeyed through countless realms, I must say that the soaks in Black Myth: Wukong are as intriguing as they are essential for survival. Each one offers unique benefits, tailored to suit different playstyles and challenges you’ll encounter on your quest.

The second part of “Black Myth: Wukong” starts in a forsaken-looking town called Webbed Hollow, inhabited by various Insect Guai. As the Chosen One and Zhu Bajie journey onward, they’ll venture below the town into its dark caves, leading them to a colossal nest. This nest is governed by the Violet Spider and her offspring.

As you delve into the Webbed Hollow in Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll discover various spots where you can uncover new drink customization options. Scattered throughout the entire chapter are seven such locations, so players will need to be thorough in their search if they aim to find each and every one.

Goji Shoots

As a dedicated user of the Ring of Fire spell, I find potions that extend its duration incredibly beneficial. After drinking one, the next time I unleash the Ring of Fire, it lingers for a longer period. When fully upgraded, this spell becomes an invaluable asset, particularly for swiftly replenishing my focus during intense battles.

To obtain the Goji Shoots, begin at the Upper Hollow Shrine. Then, face away from it. You’ll spot a staircase ascending to your left and slightly upwards. Follow this path. After reaching the top, ignore the building there and continue climbing. Eventually, you’ll find another set of stairs that leads to a structure with a golden turtle-shaped container inside. This is where you’ll discover the Goji Shoots.

Purple-Veined Peach Pit

Carrying this handy item can significantly aid during battles with supervisors. It amplifies the amount of healing you get when used, but only when your health level is critically low. In simpler terms, using it becomes especially beneficial when your health meter is blinking red.

To locate the Soak, begin at the Verdure Bridge Shrine, proceed across the wooden bridge adjacent to it, then take a left turn and search for a gate marked by two stone lanterns on either side. Enter the area to discover five treasure chests filled with various treasures, one of which is the Purple-Veined Peach Pit. Just past this room lies the Elder Amourworm Boss Battle.

Deathstinger

In this rephrased version, the hidden Scorpion Prince can be found near the Verdure Bridge Shrine. To locate him, begin by crossing the wooden bridge adjacent to the shrine, then veer left and follow the path illuminated by a pair of lanterns, which leads to a gate guarded by two more lanterns that opens up to the Purple-Veined Peach Pit. Instead of proceeding through the gate, continue along the path until you’re next to the second pair of lanterns (not the ones near the gate), and look to your right to discover a spot where you can safely jump down. Descend and follow the path to arrive at a village, where you’ll encounter the Scorpion Prince.

The Deathstinger Soak causes a minor poison effect to the Chosen One. On its own, it’s not particularly effective, but when combined with certain equipment, it becomes remarkably potent. For instance, the Spider Celestial Staff can inflict a poison debuff on enemies when the user is poisoned, and the Centipede Armor Set significantly boosts damage output while the wearer is poisoned.

Bee Mountain Stone

The item in question is a potent, luck-based brew that offers you a chance to bypass drinking from the gourd with each sip, thereby increasing your chances of receiving extra healing. However, it’s important to note that the effect may prove to be completely ineffective if you happen to have bad luck.

To gather the Bee Mountain Stone, you first must navigate to the Mountain Trail Shrine located within the Temple of Yellow Flowers chapter segment. From there, ascend the stairs and continue along the path past a Flywheel Daoist, followed by another set of stairs. At the top of these stairs, take a left turn to discover a small fenced area with a large tree in the center. In this enclosed space, you’ll find the soak stored inside a golden turtle box.

Fruit of Dao

This is an elixir that increases the length of your invincibility period following a dodge, for a brief time after consumption. This elixir can be obtained from Flywheel Daoists, typically found beyond the Mountain Trail Shrine. You’ll need to engage them in combat until one drops the elixir, which could take some time if you’re not fortunate.

Undying Vine

In Chapter 4’s hidden region called Purple Cloud Mountain, there is a harvestable item called Soak that you can gather from the foes known as Lushleaf enemies. These enemies are tree-like beings shaped like humans, and they are easily spotted by making your way to the Petalfall Hamlet Shrine. From this shrine, proceed right until you notice a bridge overhead; to your left from this spot, you’ll find the first Lushleaf. To locate the second one, return the same path, take the left fork, and search for it in the bushes directly ahead.

Drinking from the Everlasting Vine swiftly restores the Preordained Individual’s Energy reserves and enhances Energy regeneration temporarily. This could prove beneficial if you frequently notice your Energy levels dwindling often.

Double-Combed Rooster Blood

In Chapter 4 of Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll encounter the final challenge, which involves slaying the hidden boss – The Duskveil. This enigmatic figure, strongly suggested to be the corrupted essence of Maori Xingguan (also known as “Dawnstar Mao” who transforms into a Rooster and reveals the Scorpion Queen’s true form in the original Journey to the West), is located at the conclusion of the Purple Cloud Mountain Area. Defeating him will result in obtaining the Double-Combed Rooster Blood. It is crucial to slay The Duskveil before engaging with the Scorpionlord, as doing so would permanently exclude you from fighting the Scorpionlord’s boss fight.

Drinking Double-Combed Rooster Blood will not only detoxify the chosen individual immediately, but also boost their running speed and likelihood of scoring critical hits. This makes it an ideal elixir for countering enemies that employ poison, such as the Chapter 4 final boss.
