Strongboxes are puzzles in Crimson Desert that appear as white chests on your mini-map – they can be tricky to find! You’ll come across lots of them while you explore. Each one presents a different challenge, like putting pictures in the right order or matching a melody. After you solve a Strongbox, you need to wear a mask to claim the treasure inside.
Bluemont Manor Strongbox Puzzles
Bluemont Manor Strongbox Puzzle #1
Enter Bluemont Manor, which is southwest of Hernand City, and head upstairs to the strongbox puzzle. To solve it, you’ll need to press the buttons in a specific order to rotate the pieces and complete the image.

You will get the Oath of Darkness Earring.
Bluemont Manor Strongbox Puzzle #2
Head outside and go to the other Bluemont Manor building, which is south of here. You can quickly reach a room with a strongbox puzzle in Crimson Desert by jumping from the balcony. To solve the puzzle, you’ll need to align all five cylinders in the center. Use the button on the side to check how you’re doing.

- Turn the 5th Wheel 5 times
Finely Crafted Gold Necklace is rewarded after opening the strongbox.
Hillside Manor Strongbox Puzzle
Hillside Manor is located on the east side of Hernand City. To get inside, climb the wall to the left of the entrance and open the window at the corner. This will lead you to a room with a strongbox that requires you to align the cylinders by turning the wheels.

- Turn the 3rd Wheel 4 times
- Turn the 4th Wheel 5 times
- Turn the 5th Wheel 5 times
Grab the Saint’s Necklace from inside the box.
Lioncrest Manor Strongbox Puzzle
To reach Lioncrest Manor, head northwest of Hernand City. You can get inside by climbing the wall and opening a second-floor window, or simply use the main door if it’s unlocked. Once inside, you’ll need to solve a puzzle by rotating squares to complete a picture, which will unlock a strongbox containing the Engraved Gold Earring.
Hernand Castle Strongbox Puzzle
Head to Hernand Castle and enter through the archway on the right. Climb the stairs to get to the tower’s ground floor. Then, go up the wooden stairs to the top and open the door – you’ll need a regular key to get in, so make sure you have one.
To open the strongbox, you’ll need to play back the tune you hear by pressing the buttons in the correct order. Successfully doing so will reveal the Engraved Gold Earring.

Arboria Castle Strongbox Puzzle
Journey to the Hills of No Return and go inside Arboria Castle. Find the abandoned room and walk up to the strongbox. To unlock the puzzle in Crimson Desert and obtain the Equipment Manual, you need to line up all the cylinders by turning the wheels.

Mudridge Cabin Strongbox Puzzle
The Mudridge Cabin is found south of Unicorn Cliff, close to Unreachable Village in Pororin Forest. The area around the cabin is covered in thick mud that makes it hard to move and slowly drains your health. You’ll need to defeat the enemies here before you can explore. Once clear, head upstairs and solve the puzzle by rearranging the squares to open the strongbox.

Reventine Monastery Strongbox Puzzle
Head southeast from the Hills of No Return, or east of the town of Demeniss (look for the ‘D’ on your map), to find the Reventine Monastery. Once inside, make your way to the round courtyard with several doors. Go through the door on the east side and head towards the library on your right. Push on the library wall to reveal a hidden room containing a puzzle box. Solve the puzzle by sliding the tiles to complete the images.

Western Court Strongbox Puzzle
To reach the Western Court, look above the ‘M’ on the Demeniss map. You may need to fight and defeat the enemies, including the Half Moon Reaper, to claim the area, though stealth is also an option. Once inside, find the stairs and look for a curtain next to them on the first floor – it hides a ladder leading down to the basement. In the basement, you’ll need to solve a puzzle by rearranging the squares.

Sungrove Manor Strongbox Puzzle
Visit Sungrove Manor, located near M in Demeniss, and go upstairs. At the end of the hallway, you’ll find a room with a strongbox puzzle. To solve it, rotate each piece until the picture is complete. You can tackle this puzzle as part of the Whispering Shadows quest, or explore and find it later. Successfully completing the puzzle will reward you with the Sungrove Manor Key.
Azerian Manor Strongbox Puzzle
The Azerian Manor is located very near Sungrove Manor, underneath the ‘M’ on the Demeniss map. Once inside, go to the second floor and look for a hidden room behind a fake wall. You’ll find a strongbox puzzle there. To solve it, you need to press the buttons in the correct sequence to rotate the pieces and complete the image.

You can enter the manor to solve a puzzle either while exploring or as part of the Blazing Fire main quest. If you do, you’ll receive the Ancient Earring as a reward.
Southern Court Strongbox Puzzle
Just like the Western Court, you’ll need to free the Southern Court by defeating all the enemies and the New Moon Reaper boss. Once that’s done, you can enter the building either through the main entrance or by being stealthy, and then make your way to the second floor. Find the blue room and complete the picture puzzle by pressing the correct buttons.

Stellen Manor Strongbox Puzzles
Stellen Manor Strongbox Puzzle #1
Stellen Manor is found to the northeast of Drakesfall Gorge. To start the first puzzle, head to the top of the tower. You can reach it by climbing the walls and entering through a window. Once inside, solve the puzzle by aligning the cylinders using the wheels.

- Turn the 3rd Wheel 5 times
- Turn the 4th Wheel 4 times
- Turn the 5th Wheel 3 times
Get the Finely Crafted Gold Ring as a reward.
Stellen Manor Strongbox Puzzle #2
The second puzzle at Stellen Manor is a musical strongbox. Go to the dining room on the second floor – you can reach it by taking the stairs or climbing through the window. To open the strongbox and get the Stellen Manor Closet Key, you’ll need to press the buttons in the correct order to match the tune.

Find one of the rooms on the second floor with blood present, then use the key to unlock the closet. Doing so will start you on the path to obtaining the Acria Sword.
