In *Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds*, it’s a free-for-all race where everyone competes against each other. While you’re mostly on your own, some game modes-especially in the Race Park-might require you to team up with other players temporarily to succeed.
A special part of *CrossWorlds* is the Rival system. It challenges you to beat a specific racer during a race, adding an extra goal beyond just finishing first. In Grand Prix mode, you compete against rivals individually. But in Race Park, this expands to team-versus-team rivalries. With extra cars and rewards available, it’s helpful to know all the Team Rival rewards in *Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds* before jumping into Race Park modes.
What Are Team Rivals in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds?
Beyond the standard Grand Prix and online races, *Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds* offers a Race Park mode with a variety of unique race types. These races are more difficult than usual, often requiring teamwork and completing extra goals – like gathering gold rings – alongside simply finishing first.
Four of the game modes determine the winning team based on how well their racers finish, with extra points awarded for successfully completing bonus challenges. The remaining two modes focus on individual races – one is a fast-paced quick race, and the other is a challenging race featuring only the most powerful items.
Race Park is emphasizing team racing, and the new *CrossWorlds* mode lets players compete against rival teams, similar to the Rivals mode in other racing games. To win and advance, a team needs to win any of the team-based challenges three times. These teams are made up of heroes and villains from the game’s roster, all with unique dark skin designs, and they race for the chance to win a special car.
All Rival Teams
To advance in the gauntlet, players need to defeat each of the eight teams three times in any of the game modes. Here’s a list of those teams:
- Team Sonic — Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles
- Team Rose — Amy, Cream & Cheese, and Big
- Team Dark — Shadow, Rouge, and Omega
- Team Chaotix — Vector, Espio, and Charmy
- Team Eggman — Dr. Eggman, Sage, Metal Sonic, and Egg Pawn
- Team Dimensions — Blaze and Silver
- Team Deadly Six — Zazz and Zavok
- Team Babylon Rogues — Jet, Wave, and Storm
