All Warring States Hot Springs Locations in Nioh 3

Nioh 3, like its predecessors, features numerous collectibles and interesting locations. A recurring feature is the Hot Springs, found in various regions throughout the game. These Hot Springs have been present since the original Nioh and serve the same purpose in Nioh 3.

When players discover a Hot Spring, they can use it to completely refill their health. It also gives them a short-term boost that slowly restores a little health over time. This is especially helpful when players are still exploring and haven’t found a Shrine yet. Below is a guide showing the locations of all Hot Springs in Warring States, the first map in Nioh 3.

All Warring States Hot Springs in Nioh 3

Tokaido

  • Recommended Level: 8

You’ll find this area in the southernmost part of the region. Enter the cave entrance to the left of the Cape Cavern Shrine – it leads into an enemy base. Defeat all the enemies there before using the Hot Springs at the back.

Maisaka

  • Recommended Level: 16

Starting at the Maisaka Post Shrine, go west to locate an enemy base that you’ll need to clear as part of the Abundant Evil myth. Within the base, find a house on the back left side, next to some stairs. Jump up onto the tiles on the upper floor and enter the house – you’ll find a way to the second Hot Springs inside.

Maisaka

  • Recommended Level: 16

As you explore the Haunting Caves, you’ll reach the Rimstone Pool Shrine. From there, head forward and keep to the left wall. You’ll encounter a Crucible Wraith in the water. The entrance to the Hot Springs is a small passage located directly behind the Wraith – you’ll need to crouch to get through.

Mikatagahara

  • Recommended Level: 20

I found this Hot Springs up northwest in the region during the “A Fiery Invasion” mission. If you happen to miss it the first time, don’t worry! You can replay that Crucible mission through the Battle Scroll and grab it then.

Mikatagahara

  • Recommended Level: 20

You’ll find this location by playing through the main story. It’s in Saigagake, which becomes available during the final mission of Warring States. Starting at the Rear Approach Shrine, turn left and continue forward. Another left turn will lead you to the boss gate, with a Nurikabe wall to its right. Either defeat the wall or use the correct gesture to make it disappear, then go inside to discover the Hot Springs.

Lake Hamana

  • Recommended Level: 25

You’ll find this Hot Springs within Horie Castle, and it’s part of the Disaster at Lake Hamama story. Start at the Main Keep Shrine, then go left and take the first right at the end of the path. After you beat the enemy there, you can open the door on your left to get to the Hot Springs.

Iinoya

  • Recommended Level: 28

Okay, so I found this cool spot in Ryotan Temple during the Fated Lands myth. You go to the Living Quarters Shrine, then explore around until you find a ladder leading down from the roof. There’s a shortcut door to the right of that ladder, and right next to that door is a Nurikabe wall. If you go through the wall, you’ll end up at the Hot Springs! It’s a bit hidden, but totally worth checking out.

Futamata Road

  • Recommended Level: 35

Go to the far north of the area. You’ll find a locked door on your left. Take the stairs, then look for a path leading left. Follow it through the small opening to drop down into the Hot Springs.

Futamata

  • Recommended Level: 36

You’ll find the Hot Springs within Futamata Castle, which you’ll visit as part of the main story. Once you reach the Defensive Gate Shrine, turn around and look to your left – you’ll see a hidden passage disguised as a wall. Go through it to discover the Hot Springs.
