All Winter Butterflies Locations in Heartopia

The Winter Frost Event is now live in Heartopia, bringing with it a collection of new, winter-themed creatures! Keep an eye out for the stunning and rare Frostspore Butterflies – their icy glow makes them a prized find for any collector. Whether you’re completing your creature collection or tackling winter quests, these butterflies are a must-have in Heartopia.

Where to Find Winter Insects in Heartopia

During the Winter Frost Event, you can only find Frostspore Butterflies. You’ll need to complete a quest to unlock them. To start, talk to Naniwa, the insect-catching expert in Heartopia. In the chat menu, choose the “Mysterious Frostspore Butterflies” option.

Naniwa says that a magical, icy disease called Frostspore has infected some butterflies, making them glow and very rare to find. Once you start the quest, these special butterflies will begin appearing in certain forest areas.

You need to be at least an Insect Hobbyist Level 1 to catch Frostspore Butterflies, but catching the rarer, five-star versions might require Level 6 or higher. The good news is these butterflies appear no matter the weather or time of day, so you can hunt for them anytime!

All Winter Butterflies and Their Locations

Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl

The Frostspore Mother-of-Pearl is a delicate pink butterfly with a shimmering, icy glow. Its wings have a frosted, glass-like appearance. You can typically find it near the Jump Puzzle area in the Forest, making it one of the simpler Frostspore butterflies to locate.

Frostspore Purple Spotted Swallowtail

The Purple Spotted Swallowtail butterfly is easily recognized by its beautiful, dark purple and blue wings. This unique butterfly can be found in the Spirit Oak Pine Forest, close to the lake. Its vibrant colors really pop against the snow, so be sure to look for it when you’re exploring!

Frostspore Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing

The Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing is the most beautiful of the Frostspore butterflies. It has stunning wings that are turquoise-green with black edges and shimmering highlights. You can usually find it flying around the edge of the Forest Lake, close to the Deer Tower.

Frostspore Sulkowsky’s Morpho

Okay, so the Sulkowsky’s Morpho is seriously stunning! It’s this gorgeous, icy blue and cyan color – it actually looks more frosted than any of the other butterflies I’ve seen. If you want to find one, I heard the best place is near Forest Lake, pretty close to Deer Tower.

A new, dark red Frostspore Butterfly becomes available on February 14th as part of the Frostspore Butterfly Event.
