While racing in the Grands Prix mode of *Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds*, you’ll find Red Star Rings scattered throughout each track. There are 5 on every track, and collecting them all isn’t essential to winning, but it’s a fun challenge! Successfully collecting all 5 Red Star Rings will give you extra Donpa Tickets.
Collecting Red Rings in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds can be tricky! Some are easy to spot and just require skillful driving, while others are hidden and require you to find secret shortcuts. This guide shows you where to find all the Red Star Rings in the Wisp Grand Prix on these tracks: Metal Harbor, Sand Road, and Colorful Mall.
You can’t gather Red Star Rings during the last race of a Grand Prix, which uses track sections from earlier races.
All Metal Harbor Red Star Ring Locations In Sonic CrossWorlds
The Red Rings in the Metal Harbor race are generally not too difficult to get, but you’ll need to complete two laps because the track splits into different routes.
Right Ramp Out Of The First Hairpin
As drivers exit the first hairpin turn, they’ll have a choice of two ramps. For one lap, taking the right ramp will lead to the simpler Red Ring route.
Left Ramp Out Of The First Hairpin
On the third lap, or if you’re replaying the race, take the left ramp right after the first hairpin turn. This will send you flying through the Red Ring.
Third Hairpin, Take The Top Track
On the map, at the third hairpin turn in the bottom right corner, players should take the upper path on their first run. You’ll find a Red Star Ring on the left side of that path.
Third Hairpin, Drop To The Lower Track
On the third lap, instead of staying on the upper path for the third hairpin turn on the lower right side of the track, switch down to the lower path. As you complete the 180-degree turn, you should be able to see the Ring near the edge of a drop-off.
Go Off A Ramp On The Last Corner
The final Red Star Ring is located just before the long straightaway, on the very last turn. But it’s floating in the air, so you’ll need to hit a ramp at an angle to reach it. Be sure to gain some speed before attempting the jump!
All Sand Road Red Star Ring Locations In Sonic CrossWorlds
To collect all the Red Star Rings on Sand Road, players should take two different paths each time they race. Also, one ring only shows up during the third lap.
Red Star Rings cannot be found in Time Trials or online matches, only Grands Prix.
Turn Left & Up After Entering The Temple Near The Start
Soon after the initial turns, you’ll come across a temple. The first Red Ring on Sand Road is located up a ramp to your left.
Continue Normally After Entering The Temple Near The Start
When you enter the temple for the second time, stay on the ground floor and proceed as usual. As you round the corner, you’ll find a simple Red Star on a pink platform.
This one can be gotten on the first lap if players drop down after picking up the first Red Ring.
Middle Of The Race On The Wooden Planks
While completing the race as usual, players will find another Red Ring on the straight path immediately following a sharp turn. This section of the track is made of wooden planks. The Ring is positioned right before a pink speed boost, making it easy to spot.
Next To The Dancing Worms Before The Last Corner
As you approach the end of a lap, after driving over the sand dunes, look for a Red Star near some worms that are moving around. You’ll find it right before the last turn.
On The 3rd Lap, Become A Boat After Exiting The Temple
You can find the Red Star Ring on the third lap of the race. Instead of turning left after leaving the temple, head straight into the water – the Ring is located right before you enter.
As a big fan, I’ve noticed something tricky about collecting all the Red Star Rings! Some of them only show up on the third lap when the track layout actually *changes*. And it works the other way around too – a few are exclusive to the very first lap, so you have to get them right away or miss out!
All Colorful Mall Red Star Ring Locations In Sonic CrossWorlds
The Red Rings in the Colorful Mall are notoriously difficult to collect. The track’s multi-layered design, with sections both above and below the main path, and its many different routes make them hard to locate. What’s more, you can only find two of the Red Ring Stars during the third lap of the race.
At The Start, Stick To The Ground Floor
Once you’ve turned past the first corner and entered the big, round room, stick to the ground floor instead of heading up the ramp in the middle. Following this lower path will bring you to a Red Star, which is just around the corner at the top of a small ramp.
Middle Of The Race, Ring To The Left Of A Ramp
During the race, players should steer left across the map to perform a large jump. After landing, go left to find a Red Ring instead of using the ramp in the middle.
On The 3rd Lap, Reach A Secret Top Track
You can only find the Red Ring on the third lap. After the first corner, head up the ramp. You’ll notice a new, smaller ramp has appeared – it wasn’t there on the first lap. Use this second ramp to reach the hidden upper level, which has a dark floor and is decorated with red ribbons. This level contains the Ring.
3rd Lap Take A Weird Shortcut Near The End
Early in the race, on the third lap, after you launch off the big jump, drive up the ramp to reach the higher levels of the track. Then, keep an eye on the left side of the map for a short section of track that extends outward – you’ll see it on your right as you approach. Take this unusual route to reach the Red Ring Star, which will lead you through a portal and reward you with a powerful item to help you win.
Last Corner Among The Tables & Chairs
As you approach the final turn, you’ll see a seating area with a dark wooden floor on your left. Go through this area to find a Red Star Ring.
Red Rings can be found no matter the difficulty level, and collecting them works the same way as unlocking all the Grands Prix in *Sonic CrossWorlds*. However, you still need to win the races to actually unlock them.
