All Xbox Exclusive Games Coming to PlayStation & Rumored Releases

The collaboration between Xbox and PlayStation is growing even stronger. To mark this exciting development, we’ve put together a roundup of all the Xbox games officially announced for PlayStation, as well as those that are just speculation at this point. Keep an eye out for potential new releases!

During high school, console wars were pretty much all I knew about, and I was (and in a way still am) a die-hard PlayStation fan, feeling an innate need to defend the brand. As I’ve matured, I’ve come to realize my mistake and embraced various aspects of gaming. However, it seems that both Microsoft and Sony have evolved as well. Now, PlayStation is making some exclusives available on PC, while Xbox is expanding its library to multiple platforms.

2025 promises to bring some unprecedented events, as several Xbox exclusives are planned for release on Sony’s PlayStation platforms, with even more titles hinted at.

Some exclusive games from Xbox will be coming out on PlayStation in 2025, and there are rumors about even more games being released.

Every Confirmed Xbox Exclusive Coming to PlayStation

It’s officially confirmed that these Xbox games will be available on PlayStation as well. So, if you’re a PlayStation owner, you’ll eventually be able to acquire these titles when they are launched. Some of them may seem unexpected, but remember, miracles do happen!

The games listed here, such as DOOM: The Dark Ages, aren’t included because they are not exclusive to Microsoft platforms. Instead, they are third-party titles from the get-go, even though they are associated with Bethesda and Microsoft. Noteworthy is that every game on this list is currently unavailable on PlayStation, but already accessible on Xbox.

We’ll continue to update this list as more shocking announcements are unveiled.

Forza Horizon 5

As a dedicated racing enthusiast, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Forza Horizon 5 on PlayStation for quite some time now. There were whispers that it was in development, and we even held our breath for a Holiday 2024 announcement. However, the wait continued into January 2025 when a Spring 2025 release was finally confirmed. It seems like the racing community is dwindling at the moment, but the arrival of Gran Turismo 7 feels like an old friend’s third birthday party. The anticipation is still high for both games!

Microsoft’s Forza franchise has consistently been one of its flagship offerings, delivering realistic racing experiences through Forza Motorsport, while providing a more casual, arcade-style escape with Horizon. The release of Forza Horizon 5 was particularly successful, making it a significant triumph for the software giant.

Indiana Jones and The Great Circle

It’s no secret that the release of Indiana Jones and The Great Circle on PS5 has been anticipated by gamers ever since Microsoft acquired Bethesda. Although it initially appeared that most titles would be Xbox exclusives, it turns out that many are also coming to PlayStation – including Indiana Jones and The Great Circle.

At first, “The Great Circle” will initially have a timed exclusive launch. It’ll debut on December 9, 2024, exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC systems. However, it won’t be long before its release on PlayStation is also confirmed. This game is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience on the PS5 in 2025, so the more people who get their hands on “The Great Circle,” the better!

Rumored Xbox Games Coming to PlayStation

Instead of being thrilled about the Xbox-exclusive games officially coming to PlayStation, there’s even more anticipation for the ones that could potentially launch on PS4 or PS5. The rumor mill is bustling with activity, making for an exhilarating read. As someone who has regrettably missed out on numerous Xbox exclusives in the past, it seems like a fantastic era to be a PlayStation enthusiast, especially looking towards 2025 and beyond.

Age of Mythology

Jez Corden is among the top influential figures within the gaming industry. He’s often at the forefront of revealing leaked information and rumors, and he has hinted that Age of Mythology may be making its way to PlayStation platforms by the year 2025.

Initially introduced in 2002, the game’s title was followed by “Age of Mythology: Retold” some two decades later as an enhanced reissue that includes all expansion packs and significantly improves upon the original. This revamped version would be a fantastic addition to the PS5 library, offering real-time strategy enthusiasts a fresh universe to delve into.

Gears of War E-Day

Experiencing Gears of War E-Day on PS5 might feel unrealistic. As a kid, I was envious of those who owned an Xbox because Gears of War was a franchise I admired from afar. It exuded a cool and violent vibe, and my Xbox-owning friends enjoyed its intense, gory gameplay. Wielding a chainsaw gun to dismember enemies provided the adrenaline boost any adolescent could dream of.

E-Day is an upcoming prequel scheduled 14 years before the initial main series installment. It reunites familiar faces from the franchise and offers fans an exciting opportunity to delve into the backstory of Gears of War. Given that Microsoft might be considering a Gears of War release on PlayStation, I believe many gamers would jump at the chance to experience this prequel story.

Gears of War Collection

A Gears of War Collection, containing updated versions of games 1, 2, 3, 4, and Judgment from the Gears of War series, is said to be in development. This collection could potentially be a significant project for The Coalition, and it’s speculated that the PlayStation 5 might be its intended platform.

Much like several other items on the list, it’s more guesswork than fact, requiring a dash of skepticism. However, you might not be surprised if an earlier edition of Gears of War appears on PlayStation 5.

Halo The Master Chief Collection

Source Material: Leaker NateTheHate alleges multiple Xbox exclusives are slated for release on PlayStation and the Nintendo Switch 2. At this stage, Microsoft appears to be extending its offerings to a broader audience. Included in these whispers is speculation about the Halo Master Chief Collection making its way to PlayStation. Frankly, both my adolescent self and I find it hard to fathom this potential scenario.

According to leaker NateTheHate, there are reports that several games exclusive to Xbox will also be available on PlayStation and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. It seems Microsoft is now sharing its content with a wider range of users. Among these speculations is the possibility of the Halo Master Chief Collection being ported to PlayStation. Honestly, I find it hard to believe this might happen, even as an adult.

For quite some time, Halo was Xbox’s flagship game franchise. The release of Halo 3 made headlines everywhere due to its historical significance. However, its fame has diminished somewhat in recent years (with Halo Infinite serving as a notable example). A launch on PlayStation could provide the series with a significant boost and strengthen it again like a Spartan would reinforce their armor.

Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2

In the ninth century, Hellblade 2 continued Senua’s struggle against psychosis. Originally introduced as an exclusive title for a limited time on PlayStation and PC, this physically fit warrior eventually made her way to Xbox as well. However, the situation reversed in Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2, with its release on both Xbox and PC platforms—not PlayStation.

It’s rumored that Hellblade 2 will be released for PlayStation in the year 2025. Given the high production costs of Hellblade 2, it has been underappreciated but deserves greater acclaim. A PS5 launch could significantly boost its recognition.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

The challenge for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 was to surpass the exceptional Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Upon release, it introduced numerous new features, tasks, and was exclusive to Microsoft. However, whispers suggest that PlayStation users might want to prepare their own aircraft if rumors are true.

The Jez Corden report discussing Age of Mythology and Hellblade 2 additionally brings up Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. While there’s no specific information about its launch or announcement, it’s plausible that the Xbox game will be available on PS5 as early as 2025.

Starfield

It seems there’s no sign of daydreaming here! The possibility that Starfield will appear on PS5 might no longer be just speculation, according to Phil Spencer’s recent statements. If you’re still skeptical, consider this: Phil Spencer hinted at Starfield taking flight towards the PlayStation 5. Previously, it was thought that a Starfield release for PS5 would never happen under any circumstances.

Regarding the question about Starfield’s exclusivity to Xbox, Spencer offers an intriguing comment: “I don’t see a particular title that I wouldn’t consider… This ties back to my previous statement, I don’t feel compelled to create a barrier around any game and declare it won’t be available on platforms where it could find players and bring us profitable business success.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but see the signs pointing towards an exciting collaboration between Starfield and PlayStation, and my anticipation is soaring!

Does it seem just as challenging for you to envision a unified world with PlayStation and Xbox collaborating? What older Xbox exclusives from the past would you like to witness making their way onto PlayStation?

In simpler terms, it’s possible that games exclusive to PlayStation may also transition to other platforms, such as Xbox, with the shift of Final Fantasy 16 being a notable instance of this trend.
