Almost Every Team Has Qualified for the BLAST R6 Major in Montreal

As a seasoned gamer with years of Rainbow Six Siege under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of adrenaline as I see the lineup for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal. This event is the cream of the crop, the pinnacle of competitive gaming, and to think that in just a few weeks, I’ll be watching some of the best teams from around the world duke it out on the grand stage at the Verdun Auditorium is nothing short of exhilarating.

In the lead-up to the BLAST R6 Major Montreal, some of the world’s finest Rainbow Six squads are securing their places in the competition. From November 7th through the 17th, this $750,000 event will unfold in Montreal, as 20 top-tier teams march towards a climactic showdown at the Verdun Auditorium.

Currently, only one team remains unconfirmed in Phase 2 of the qualifying process. Within a short span, we’ll be able to finalize the remaining teams and make them available for action.

Making it to Montreal

Over the past few days, these teams have confirmed their participation at the BLAST Rainbow Six Major Montreal:

  • DPlus
  • Team Liquid
  • FaZe Clan
  • Soniqs
  • DarkZero

A diverse group of well-known teams such as Soniqs, Virtus, Team Secret, Team BDS, Wolves, Spacestation M80, w7m, Elevate, FURIA, KINOTROPE, and Team Falcons will be present at the event in Canada next month. Some of the most influential organizations in esports will be showcased on stage.

2024 marks the conclusion of the annual BLAST R6 event, which also serves as the final significant Rainbow Six Siege tournament of the year. This event follows the BLAST R6 Manchester Major held in May, and will pave the way for the Six Invitational taking place in North America in February 2025.

Over the past few years, Rainbow Six has consistently developed a robust competitive scene, which has experienced significant growth over the past year. Notably, events such as these usually rank high in the gaming industry’s hierarchy.

At the upcoming BLAST R6 Major Montreal, the competition is fierce as numerous teams possess the potential to claim the top position. Notably, Team BDS triumphed in the Rainbow Six Siege category of this year’s Esports World Cup, and they also finished second at the Manchester Major. Could another victory be on the horizon for this talented team?

Behind Team BDS, the next odds-on favourite is w7m Esports.
