I’ve encountered instances where the audio stopped working entirely, and on several occasions, Jack would keep spinning in mid-air after an enemy attack until she was defeated, with no way to pause or interact with the game. In addition, the game froze twice, continuing to play idle animations but failing to respond to any input or access the pause menu, requiring a forced exit from the game. Given that it’s still in development, there are definitely some kinks that need to be worked out.
Once they’re taken care of though, I’m very much looking forward to playing more Altered Alma. It doesn’t light world on fire in terms of originality, but it looks lovely, moves smoothly, and has an interesting world to explore – as well as interesting characters to explore it with.
