- Amazon responds to Amouranth’s tweet, providing link to report violation, but unauthorized merchandise remains available for purchase. Situation unresolved.
As a long-time follower and admirer of Amouranth, I can’t help but empathize with her ongoing struggle against unauthorized merchandise being sold on Amazon. The resilience she has shown in the face of numerous challenges – from Twitch bans to stalking incidents – is truly inspiring. Yet, it’s disheartening to see yet another issue that threatens not only her brand but also her hard-earned reputation.
Notable Twitch broadcaster Amouranth has shared her discontent on social platforms regarding Amazon’s handling of unlicensed merchandise featuring her image. This popular Twitch personality has vocalized worries about unscrupulous parties capitalizing on her personal brand without due authorization.
Amouranth is widely recognized as a prominent figure in the digital content creation world, with a notable presence across multiple streaming platforms. She boasts over 6 million followers on Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, and further broadened her fanbase last year by securing a deal with Kick.com. There, she has also gained a considerable audience. Furthermore, she keeps an active profile on social media networks such as Instagram and Twitter. Outside of her online endeavors, Amouranth engages in various business pursuits, including the recent acquisition of an eSports team and the establishment of her own beverage corporation.
As a devoted admirer, I’ve always followed Amouranth’s journey, from her gaming streams to the controversies that often find their way into the limelight. However, recently, she’s encountered a new type of hurdle that has taken a different turn. She’s publicly called out an alleged misuse of her identity on Amazon, where notebooks adorned with her image are being sold without her approval. These items are falsely credited to Mats Nyberg. This unauthorized exploitation of my beloved streamer’s brand has sparked worry, especially given the platform’s prominence. Her tweet swiftly gained traction, with an outpouring of supportive comments from fans like me.
Amazon Addresses Amouranth’s Tweet on Unauthorized Merchandise
Numerous individuals encouraged her to pursue a legal course, some even pressuring Amazon to discover and prohibit the offending vendor. One follower suggested she consult with her lawyers, while another appeared stunned and inquired if she had already reported the matter. Amazon themselves addressed Twitch and Kickstarter star Amouranth’s tweet, expressing sympathy and offering a link for reporting the infraction. However, it is uncertain whether Amouranth has indeed submitted an official report regarding this issue. Importantly, the disputed items continue to be on sale within the platform, suggesting that the predicament remains unsolved.
Although the timeline for resolving the problem related to unauthorized merchandise is uncertain, it’s important to mention that in 2022, Amouranth disclosed a substantial investment in Amazon. She bought 500 shares of Amazon stock, each worth around $2,169, amounting to approximately $1,084,000. Regarding her investment, she unveiled plans for a new business partnership with KSI in May, but specifics about this collaboration are still scarce.
