Amazon has combined its Prime Gaming service with Luna, its game streaming platform. Prime members will still get free games each month with a linked Twitch account. The updated Luna service will include new GameNight options and continued access to the games already available through Luna Standard.
Amazon has officially discontinued the Prime Gaming brand, but Prime members will continue to receive the same perks through Twitch. This includes a free monthly subscription to support a Twitch creator, plus special emotes and chat features. Previously, Prime Gaming offered a rotating selection of free PC games on platforms like GOG and the Epic Games Store, from smaller indie titles to well-known classics. Currently, members can still claim games like Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition and XCOM 2.
Prime Gaming will continue to offer PC games, but Amazon is adding more benefits with the new Amazon Luna service for Prime members. With your $14.99 Amazon Prime membership, you now get access to Luna, which lets you stream a rotating selection of games on devices like computers or Fire TV. Luna has two subscription levels: Standard and Premium. Luna Standard is included with Prime at no extra cost, while Luna Premium is $9.99 per month. Currently, you can stream games like Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Fortnite with Luna Standard. Amazon recommends a stable internet connection of at least 10 Mbps for a good streaming experience.

Amazon Luna’s streaming service relies on Amazon Web Services running smoothly. The updated Luna will offer a wide selection of games for players to choose from. It’s still uncertain what the future holds for Amazon Luna and how it will change over time.
