Amazon Prime Gaming will be giving away 10 free PC games in January 2026 to all Prime members. While the selection doesn’t feature any major blockbuster titles, it’s a fantastic way for new PC owners—especially those who received one as a gift—to start building their game collection without spending any money.
As of today, I’m still able to snag a whopping 22 free games with my Amazon Prime membership! Seriously, they have some great ones like XCOM 2, New Tales from the Borderlands, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, LEGO 2K Drive, and even the original Fallout games. But you’ve gotta hurry, because they’re adding 10 new free games that will slowly replace the current selection, so don’t miss out!

Amazon announced that both the standard and deluxe editions of Brigador: Up-Armored Edition will be available to claim on January 15th, which is why the game appears twice in their announcement.
At the top of the list is Civilization 6. Even though it’s nearly a decade old, many still consider it one of the best 4X strategy games for PC, making it a great addition to any game library. While Civilization 7 came out last year with improvements, some players think it also lost some of what made Civ 6 great, leading them to believe Civilization 6 remains the best in the series.
While Civilization 6 is the biggest game available for free on Amazon Prime Gaming in January 2026, there are several other interesting titles to check out. D&D Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator, though released over 30 years ago, combines city-building with the Dungeons & Dragons universe and might appeal to fans of Stranger Things after the show’s final season. Technotopia is another city-builder, but it adds a unique element with its deck-building mechanics.
January 2026’s Amazon Prime Gaming offers a wide range of games. On one end of the spectrum is Elderborn, a challenging, dark fantasy combat game played from a first-person perspective. Completely different is Reflections of Life: Dark Architect, a puzzle adventure game you play by clicking. There’s something for everyone!

In addition to being available on PC, 13 new games are coming to Amazon Luna in January 2026. Luna is a cloud gaming service, so you can play on phones, computers, Macbooks, and select smart TVs.
