As a seasoned gaming enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming Ryzen 7 9800X3D from AMD is causing quite a stir in the tech community. With its impressive specs leaked, it seems like AMD’s reign in the hearts of PC owners is far from over.
Information about the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, set to be released officially soon, has been prematurely disclosed online. A European comparison site, Geizhals (initially discovered by Tom’s Hardware), has published the complete specifications of this new processor, revealing notable enhancements over its previous versions.
Before getting into the leaked specs, it’s worth noting that none of this has been officially confirmed by AMD. That means that some of the details could be slightly different from the actual information.
Based on the leaked details, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is said to have a base frequency of 4.7 GHz that can boost up to 5.2 GHz. This base speed is 500 MHz more than its predecessor, the 7800X3D. It also offers a Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 120W and comes with 8MB of L2 cache and an impressive 96MB of L3 cache.
Regarding the price details, they weren’t included in the leaked specifications. Nevertheless, whispers around town hint at a potential price tag of $479, which is $30 higher than the 7800X3D. The anticipated launch date for this CPU is set for November 7.
