Ameku M.D. Episode 7 Delayed Due to Ayane Sakura Special

Summary

  • Episode 7 of Ameku M.D. is delayed by a week due to a special featuring Ayane Sakura.
  • The anime is based on an unreleased novel and manga, adding to its mystery.
  • Dr. Ameku’s department handles complex cases involving crimes and difficult diagnoses.

The upcoming seventh installment of the medical and detective TV show “Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective” has been postponed by a week, as indicated by the teaser presented during the most recent episode.

Dr. Ameku, the title character, exhibits expertise in both medical diagnoses ranging from straightforward to intricate, and occasionally assists the police in solving cases with unusual medical factors. Episodes become available on Crunchyroll simultaneously with their Japanese broadcast.

Next week, instead of a fresh episode of the anime, Japanese television will broadcast another installment of “Takao Ameku’s Day Off,” starring Ayane Sakura, the voice artist behind Ameku. This isn’t the first time it has happened, and unfortunately, these special episodes are not officially available for streaming in the U.S. On the other hand, Episode 7 is set to premiere on February 19th.

Schedule of Ameku M.D. in Upcoming Weeks

The schedule is as follows, if no further changes take place:

  • February 12: Takao Ameku’s Day Off: Ayane Sakura goes for a medical checkup
  • February 19: Ameku MD Episode 7 (“Prescribed Poison”).

It seems that these breaks are pre-arranged, but it’s hard to confirm that.

Ameku MD Mixes Anime, Dr. House and Crime Series

The anime is adapted from a novel titled the same, penned by Mikito Chinen and illustrated by Noizi Ito (the character designer of Shakugan no Shana), but sadly, neither the novel nor any manga derived from the series have been licensed for distribution in the United States as of now.

The narrative unfolds in a comprehensive hospital setting, focusing on Yu Takanashi, an assistant to Dr. Ameku Takao within the Department of Intriguing Pathology. This specific department tackles cases that other departments are presently unable to address. Despite Dr. Ameku’s exceptional diagnostic skills, her personality is unique and somewhat challenging to work with.

In my line of work, I often find myself navigating complex, puzzling cases that are not your typical run-of-the-mill ailments. Quite frequently, my patients have been unfortunate victims of crimes – some truly heinous acts where the criminals went to great lengths to manipulate evidence and circumstances. Yet, there are instances when I treat ordinary individuals seeking help for common health issues. Each case presents its own unique challenges, making every day at work an exciting adventure in medical detective work!

In essence, this anime might be appealing to fans of “Apothecary Diaries” as well as those who appreciate medical dramas and crime shows.

Dr. Ameku can be found on Crunchyroll, with both subtitled and dubbed versions available (note that the schedule lags slightly behind the subtitled one by a couple of weeks).
