In their August 2024 release, the popular game Among Us announced a partnership with the tabletop RPG web series Critical Role, offering new cosmetic items for players to collect. These items are accessible for both Crewmates and Imposters in the game. This collaboration between Among Us and Critical Role, known as Cosmicube, will be available from version 2024.8.13 until November 12th.

During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the indie game Among Us gained massive popularity. Even as its fame fluctuated afterward, the developers at Innersloth have consistently provided updates and teamed up with other franchises to keep it fresh. In a June 2024 update, three new roles – Tracker, Phantom, and Noisemaker – were introduced in the Roles Galore game mode for players to take on in Among Us.

In a remarkable turn of events, the popular online game Among Us is teaming up with the renowned role-playing show Critical Role, marking one of their most ambitious crossovers yet. As announced in Innersloth’s recent blog post, this collaboration introduces a temporary Cosmicube dubbed “Gilmore’s Curious Cosmicube” within the game. To unlock it, players need to accumulate 110 Stars or pay $9.99. This exciting crossover event runs from August 13th until November 12th, giving players a three-month window to secure their desired rewards. Once obtained, players can engage in various game modes and unlock outfit sets modeled after iconic characters from Critical Role‘s three campaigns, such as Jester Lavorre, Laudna, and Vax’ildan.

In this updated version of Among Us (v2024.8.13), four additional roles inspired by Critical Role characters have been added to the Cosmicube track. Interestingly, if players assume the Imposter role and don a full set of Chetney Pock O’Pea cosmetics, they will unlock a special kill animation that only the unaware Crewmates will experience. To add more excitement to Critical Role fans, the Imposters disguised as gnomish blood hunters will transform into werewolves to eliminate their targets, mirroring events from the ongoing Third Campaign. Moreover, this update resolved some issues on the Airship, Fungle, and Mira HQ maps, along with certain platform-specific glitches. Innersloth invites players to report any remaining bugs for thorough resolution.
