An Xbox Series S May Have Just Saved Someone’s Life

As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed countless tales of virtual victories and failures, this story of Brandon J is undeniably one that stands out among the rest. The Xbox Series S, a device I’ve grown fond of for its performance and compact design, has proven to be a life-saving companion in ways we could never have imagined.

It’s not often that gaming systems play a life-saving role, but here’s an instance where it might have. On social media, a user shared a story about how an Xbox Series S console could potentially have saved him when he was hit by a truck while riding his bike.

According to the article, the Xbox Series S in his bag likely saved him from hitting his head on the sidewalk, although he was still injured. He feels that without the Series S, his life might have been at risk.

Divine Intervention

On Twitter, ‘Brandon J’ explained his story in full:

As I pedaled home with an Xbox tucked inside my pack, freshly purchased at GameStop nearby, a truck hit me while I was cycling. Initially, I managed to avoid the truck’s steel bumper, but eventually, it pulled me under. I was flung off my bike and onto the ground, where the truck continued without seeming to notice me. Lucky for me, the Xbox in my backpack cushioned my fall, potentially saving me from injury or even death.

In a heart-stopping moment, I found myself pinned under a truck, with no time to spare. Instinctively, I threw my left leg against the truck’s tires, trying to halt its momentum. Unfortunately, my bike got jammed into place, immobilizing my right leg.

I got hit and dragged by a truck for 12 feet, then I was quickly taken to the hospital with just one fractured bone in my left foot and some road abrasions. I feared the Xbox was destroyed, but it sprang to life without any issues at all, and surprisingly, it still runs games quite well after going through such an ordeal.

If the Xbox wasn’t in my bag at the time a lot more could have happened…

In reply, Microsoft agreed to ship a brand-new Xbox console to Brandon, who posted photos depicting his current console with visible damage, suggesting it had been through quite an ordeal yet miraculously functioning perfectly. Alongside these images, he also uploaded snapshots of a hoodie that bore the marks of severe road rash.

In the comments beneath my post on social media, some folks began playfully teasing about PlayStation’s inability to pass crash tests, while others suggested GameStop might consider selling consoles complete with crash test ratings for added peace of mind.

Despite numerous jibes aimed at the Xbox Series S, particularly concerning its performance, one thing is certain – it’s built with sturdy construction.
