Now that the ALGS Championship 2026 is finished, the Apex Legends Global Series is looking ahead to a new season. Electronic Arts has revealed plans for Year 6, which include a busy schedule of global competitions and some changes to how the series will be run.
The main focus of this announcement is a strong recommitment to international competition. This year will see the return of a three-event global LAN circuit, offering teams worldwide more opportunities to gain recognition.
ALGS Year 6 Roadmap is Bigger Than Ever
The competitive season starts with the Online Open, featuring qualifying rounds from February 28th to March 23rd. Then, the first Pro League Split will be held in April and continue through June. Also in April, the Challenger Circuit Split begins, with events taking place across four different circuits and running until early June.
Be sure to note July 7-11, 2026, as the date for the first big League of Legends LAN event – the Split 1 Playoffs – which will be held at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh.
Starting in late 2026, the competition heats up! The Pro League Qualifier will be held in late July, leading into the Pro League Split 2, which runs from August to October. The second Challenger Circuit Split also begins in August and continues through October. Then, the major tournaments will begin.
From October 29th to November 1st, Las Vegas will be the location for the Split 2 Playoffs, followed by the LCQ from November 20th to 22nd.
The sixth season of the Apex Legends Global Series will finish in Sapporo, Japan, from January 28th to 31st, 2027, with the Championship event. This will conclude an exciting year of competition.
Electronic Arts is offering a total of $7 million in prize money for Apex Legends esports competitions this year. Each international event will have a $2 million prize pool.
This season, our team is prioritizing fair play and competitive balance. To ensure consistency across all levels of competition, we’re expanding our ban policies to include the Challenger Circuit. We’re also implementing stricter rules regarding team rosters, player transfers, and how Championship Points are managed.
