Embark Studios has finished investigating a recent issue where players were able to unfairly duplicate in-game items in ARC Raiders and is now taking action against accounts that exploited it. Since its release on October 7, 2025, ARC Raiders has been very successful, achieving significant player numbers, strong sales, and industry recognition. However, the game’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges.
Despite a few small issues, ARC Raiders had largely avoided major problems – until recently. A February update introduced a glitch that let players duplicate items, which frustrated many in the community. Some took advantage of this to create lots of powerful items, negatively impacting gameplay. Unfortunately, a quick fix for the duplication glitch then revealed another issue: infinite ammo. This second glitch further upset players and added to the growing frustration.
ARC Raiders Reveals Account Bans and Punishments
Embark swiftly addressed the recent issue in ARC Raiders that allowed players to get unlimited ammo. However, they also announced they’ll be looking into accounts that collected a large number of duplicated items. This left players unsure about how Embark would decide which accounts were guilty and what level of duplication would result in penalties. Some players felt it was unfair to punish anyone, arguing the issue was caused by a mistake on Embark’s side, not intentional cheating.
Embark has finished its thorough investigation and is now ready to issue penalties. In a blog post, they explained the delay, responding to community requests for quicker action. Embark prioritized fairness and accuracy, wanting to take action only on issues they could definitively prove, including verifying data, confirming how exploits were used and their impact, and eliminating any unintended glitches. The studio wants to resolve everything in one go, ensuring they’ve done the right thing with confidence, as this is the first time they’ve dealt with an incident of this size in ARC Raiders.

Now that the investigation is complete, the studio is addressing accounts that misused the recent glitch. Penalties will vary depending on how much impact the misuse had on the game, ranging from warnings for minor offenses to suspensions for more serious cases affecting the game’s economy or other players. Any coins earned through exploiting the glitch will also be removed. The studio thanked players for reporting the issue and confirmed they’ve strengthened their systems for detecting and preventing similar problems in the future, including improved tracking, safeguards, and internal review tools.
