Okay, so ARC Raiders is a pretty tough game, and you really need to be prepared to face what’s out there! One of the coolest things I’ve discovered are Augments – these pieces of gear can give you special abilities and even let you carry more stuff. I was a little confused about how they worked at first, so I figured I’d share what I’ve learned about Augmented Slots and how to use them in ARC Raiders. Hopefully, this helps you get geared up and survive out there!
All Augments & Their Augmented Slots in ARC Raiders?
In ARC Raiders, some Augments have special slots called Augmented Slots. These slots let you carry more items quickly during raids. The basic MK.1 Augments don’t have these extra slots, but you can find them on more advanced versions like the MK.2 and MK.3.
Okay, so I put together a handy list of all the Augments in ARC Raiders that have those extra slots for upgrades. It also tells you what kind of stuff you can actually stick in those slots – basically, what you can use to customize your gear!
| Slot Type | Augment | Augmented Slots | Compatible Items Explained |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trinkets | Looting MK. 2 | 3x Trinkets Augmented Slots | When looting trinkets, they’ll be auto-stored in these Augmented Slots, freeing up valuable inventory space. |
| Grenade | Combat MK. 2 | 1x Grenade Augmented Slot | Players can store any throwables in these slots, whether it’s a smoke grenade or a snap blast. Any throwable item with a grenade icon in the bottom left corner will be compatible with Augmented Slots. |
| Combat MK. 3 (Aggressive) | 2x Grenade Augmented Slots | ||
| Utility | Tactical MK. 2 | 1x Utility Augmented Slot | Any item classified as a utility (denoted by a crossed wrench icon in the bottom left) can be stored in these slots. You can store deployable items here, like mines, traps, binoculars, or barricades. |
| Looting MK. 3 (Survivor) | |||
| Combat MK. 3 (Flanking) | 3x Utility Augmented Slot | ||
| Healing | Tactical MK. 3 (Healing) | 3x Healing Slots | Players can store any healing items in these slots, allowing them to equip additional items in their normal quick-use slots. Items like Shield Rechargers, Medkits, and Adrenaline Shots are compatible. |
| Integrated Tools | Looting Mk. 3 (Cautious) | Integrated Binoculars | The items in integrated Augmented Slots are fixed and cannot be swapped with others. The Binoculars on the Looting MK. 3 (Cautious) can be used indefinitely, while the Surge Shield Recharger on the Tactical MK. 3 (Defensive) can be used indefinitely, but comes with a 120-second cooldown after every use. |
| Tactical Mk. 3 (Defensive) | Integrated Shield Recharger |
In ARC Raiders, Augmented Slots are different from Safe Pockets. If your character is defeated, any items stored in Augmented Slots will be lost.
