ARC Raiders Install Size Revealed

The file size for the new game ARC Raiders has been announced, and players are surprised at how little storage space it needs. Many modern games are much larger, often exceeding 100 GB.

I’ve been following ARC Raiders, and honestly, it looks incredible! It’s a multiplayer shooter where you’re fighting both other players and the environment – a real PvPvE experience. The beta tests have been amazing; everyone’s talking about how beautiful the game is and just how massive the maps are. It’s awesome seeing these big battles happen between players and these huge mechanical enemies all over the landscape.

ARC Raiders is scheduled to release on October 30, 2025. The game’s file size for each platform has been announced on the ARC Raiders Alerts Twitter (now X) account, and the numbers are surprisingly small, particularly on one console.

ARC Raiders File Size Is Shockingly Low

ARC Raiders requires 16.19 GB of storage space on PlayStation 5, 29.05 GB on Xbox Series X/S, and 32.66 GB on PC. The PS5 version is surprisingly small compared to most modern games, many of which are much larger – sometimes ten times the size or more.

Keep in mind that the current game size is only for the initial release. Because ARC Raiders is a live service game, it will receive updates and new content over time, and the file size will likely increase as a result.

How did ARC Raiders achieve such a small file size? While the game looks fantastic, its world isn’t overly detailed or crowded. Instead of facing huge waves of robots, players encounter smaller groups of very dangerous enemies that require careful maneuvering to avoid.

It’s really remarkable how small the file size of ARC Raiders is, particularly on PlayStation 5. PS5 owners who only download games digitally are always having to choose which titles to delete to make room for new releases, but that won’t be such a worry with ARC Raiders.
