ARC Raiders’ Latest Exploit Breaks the 4-Player Controlled Access Zone Puzzle

A new exploit in ARC Raiders lets players easily get valuable items from the recently added Controlled Access Zone without solving its puzzle. This zone, found in the Dam Battlegrounds, is the game’s newest area with high-value loot. The puzzle was originally intended for a team of four players to complete.

Because ARC Raiders teams are limited to three players, this puzzle is designed to encourage players to work together, even with people they don’t know. The developers at Embark Studios have said they want to add more content focused on cooperative play, and this puzzle seems to be a step in that direction. However, some players have discovered ways to bypass the puzzle on their own and still get the rewards that were intended for teams.

You Can Complete the Controlled Access Zone Puzzle Alone

A YouTuber named Epitomy has discovered a way to complete the tricky Controlled Access Zone puzzle in ARC Raiders all by themselves. This puzzle was added with the recent Shrouded Sky update and usually needs four players working together to hit buttons at the same time. But Epitomy’s trick lets a single player bypass this part and open the gate using only a Barricade.

A new trick in ARC Raiders lets players bypass a locked puzzle door by quickly placing a Barricade in front of it and immediately rolling forward. This forces the player character into the room, similar to other movement glitches the game has seen. However, even after getting inside this way, players still need to solve the rest of the puzzle by adding items like wires or metal pieces to a device to progress.

In a recent video, Epitomy details how this puzzle relies on random item drops. After opening the first locked door, players will either need to get lucky and find the necessary parts quickly, or they can bring along common items like wires and motors to guarantee they can solve it. Epitomy had to try the puzzle twice because the first attempt required items they hadn’t found yet.

ARC Raiders May Soon Resort to Flamethrowers

Okay, so I’ve been following ARC Raiders pretty closely, and it’s wild to see how Embark Studios handles glitches. Remember that time players were breaking through doors? They actually put flamethrowers inside the rooms to punish people who were exploiting it – anyone without a key got roasted! It wasn’t perfect, sometimes innocent players got caught in the crossfire, but honestly, it worked really well to stop the glitch. Now, it looks like a similar thing is happening with this new Controlled Access Zone. Players are finding another glitch to just grab the good stuff without solving the puzzle, and I’m guessing Embark will have to get creative again to deter them. Hopefully, they can find a solution that doesn’t accidentally punish legitimate players this time!

Embark Studios has stated that players who take advantage of bugs in the game may be permanently banned. Because of this, players of ARC Raiders should avoid using the glitch in the Controlled Access Zone to avoid being penalized.

The recent discovery of an exploit in the Controlled Access Zone is just the latest in a series of problems that have been frustrating players of ARC Raiders. These issues recently came to a head when a game-breaking duplication glitch forced the developers to ban players who took advantage of it. While Embark Studios has promised to fix these problems and maintain a balanced game through regular updates, the emergence of this new exploit suggests it will be a continuous challenge. It remains to be seen how Embark Studios will address this latest glitch and whether they will punish those who are currently exploiting it.
