Embark Studios, the team behind
It’s common for players to discuss cosmetic items and skins in games that are constantly updated. Recently, Call of Duty had to change its plans for future collaborations and over-the-top skins in the next Black Ops game because fans felt the series was losing its identity during the current game, Black Ops 6. This led other game developers, like those working on Battlefield 6, to publicly promise their communities they wouldn’t make the same mistake. Even Embark Studios, the developer of ARC Raiders, stepped in to assure players that any new skins for their game would fit the game’s overall style.
ARC Raiders Teases Animal-Themed Skin
It’s been almost four months since the release of ARC Raiders, and Embark Studio has consistently delivered on its promise of good cosmetic items. While some recent skins have sparked debate, most of the criticism has come from players focusing on minor design details. However, Embark seems ready to release its most unique skin yet. A brief teaser on the official ARC Raiders YouTube channel hints at an animal-themed skin coming to the store this week. The studio skipped a new bundle or update last week, but a community manager announced on Discord that a new game update will arrive on February 10th.
A recent preview showed a player collecting items when a pair of fox ears briefly appeared, sparking excitement among players. Many think this means Embark might finally be releasing a cosmetic item first seen in a trailer last year. While Embark hasn’t officially confirmed it’s a new skin, fans are comparing it to the Wolfswood Cloak from Destiny. If so, the item probably won’t turn players into animals, but will likely be a helmet resembling a wolf or fox pelt.
Okay, so if you’re not excited about the new skin, don’t worry! There’s a big update for ARC Raiders coming on February 10th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. We don’t have all the details yet, but it sounds like they’re fixing bugs, making the game run smoother, and maybe even tweaking some of the weapons to make things more balanced. I’m really hoping it addresses some of the issues I’ve been having!
A significant update is coming this month for Shrouded Sky, though we don’t have a firm release date yet. This update will include a new map condition, a new enemy type (ARC threat), a new player project, and a new raider deck, among other things. The developers have also hinted at changes to one of the game’s five maps, but haven’t specified which one.

I’m really excited for the next big event in ARC Raiders! It’s called Expedition Two, and it kicks off on March 1st. If you played the first one but didn’t quite earn all the Skill Points, don’t worry – they’re adding a ‘Catch Up’ feature so we can get them. It’ll cost 300,000 for each one we missed, and they’ve even lowered the price of new Skill Points to 600,000, which is great!
