Many ARC Raiders players want the game to let everyone in a group see the world map. This would make it easier to find and plan raids on the best locations. While ARC Raiders had a good launch and still has a lot of players, some are disappointed that it lacks convenient features like a shared map for coordinating with teammates.
Embark Studios has been listening to player feedback and consistently adding improvements to ARC Raiders with each update. However, many players wish the development process was faster. A common complaint is that the game lacks essential features it should have had from the beginning, with the absence of a world map being a key example.
All Party Members Should See the Map, ARC Raiders Fans Say
In ARC Raiders, only the team leader can see the map and what’s happening on it, meaning they’re responsible for guiding everyone. Other players have to follow the leader’s instructions or use maps created by fans to keep track of events. Many players are now saying this system isn’t ideal and are asking the developers, Embark Studios, to let everyone in the team see the map.
One of the most annoying parts of playing ARC Raiders is that the areas where you complete missions change over time, and your team needs to act fast to get the best rewards. Unfortunately, players end up spending precious time asking the team leader where to go and how long they have, or looking up information online – time that could be better spent actually playing the game.
Most shooting games let teammates suggest where to land before a match begins. For instance, in Call of Duty: Warzone, players can mark locations on the map to discuss where to go. However, ARC Raiders doesn’t include this common feature, which has upset many fans. Some players have even stopped playing because they can’t easily coordinate with their team using the map.
Fans aren’t just concerned about the size of the map in ARC Raiders; they’re also frustrated with when special events happen. Players point out that these limited-time events are often scheduled during typical work hours, making it hard for people with regular jobs to join in. Now, fans are asking the developers, Embark Studios, to change the event schedule so that more players can participate.
ARC Raiders’ World Map Could Use More Improvements
Players have offered some helpful ideas to make the map more user-friendly. For example, one person suggested a small counter on each zone showing how many keys you have for that area, which would save time. Another idea is to have zone icons show how many quests are currently available there, helping players decide where to raid first.
The February update for ARC Raiders, called Shrouded Sky, will add a new map and introduce both a new environmental condition and a new type of enemy threat. While Embark Studios hasn’t announced a specific date, players are anticipating its release towards the end of February. This update is part of the game’s roadmap for 2026 and may include features players have requested.
