ARC Raiders Players Complain of False Account Blocks and Bans

Popular streamer Tfue shared a screenshot today showing he’d been blocked from playing ARC Raiders. He announced on social media that he received a 30-day ban from the new game, and it wasn’t clear why.

Tfue’s account ban isn’t an isolated incident. Many players are reporting they’ve been wrongly banned or had their accounts blocked for extended periods. This is happening shortly after the game developers, Embark Studios, announced improvements to their anti-cheat system, leading some to believe there’s an issue with the new system or an internal error.

Why is ARC Raiders Handing Out Bans To Everyone?

Players of ARC Raiders are reporting unfair 30-day bans. Many believe an automated system is mistakenly flagging and punishing players based on ‘rage reports’ – complaints filed out of anger – without any human review to verify if the reports are valid.

This is supposedly why Tfue was handed a 30-day ban.

30 day ban?!?!? For what!?!?

The warning message about potential account bans includes a link to customer support, hinting that Embark Studios expects many players will challenge the bans for ARC Raiders.

Recently, NICKMERCS faced accusations of cheating during his livestreams, with many people online sharing video clips as evidence. However, others defended him, arguing that what looked like cheating was actually the strong aim assist feature in the game ARC Raiders when played on a PC.

Players of the hit game ARC Raiders believe a 30-day ban isn’t harsh enough for cheaters. The reasoning is that the game’s anti-cheat system is still being developed, and a permanent ban could accidentally punish legitimate players, which would be more damaging to the game overall.
