ARC Raiders PvP Grenade Trick is Practically Cheating

Players of ARC Raiders have found a clever way to use Smoke and Tagging Grenades to pinpoint the locations of nearby enemies, giving them a significant edge in player-versus-player (PvP) fights. While the community has debated whether attacking other players is fair, it hasn’t stopped conflicts from happening. Most players now realize it’s best to be ready to defend themselves, and knowing where enemies are is a key part of that preparation.

Players in Speranza and other games are constantly finding clever ways to locate opponents on the map, using in-game tools or loopholes. For instance, repeatedly using the ping function in ARC Raiders can expose enemies hiding in foliage. Some players have also discovered that lowering the graphics settings to remove plants can reveal camouflaged opponents. Now, Speranza players have shared a new tactic – they’re calling it a set of “legal cheats” – to both find and track nearby enemies.

ARC Raiders Players Find the Perfect Gadget Combo for PvP

A video circulating among fans of ARC Raiders demonstrates a player defeating an entire team of enemies on their own using Smoke and Tagging Grenades. The player first uses Smoke Grenades to obscure the enemies’ vision, then throws a Tagging Grenade to pinpoint their locations – effectively giving them a wallhack. This powerful combination is so effective that many players are calling it a legitimate advantage in player-versus-player combat, with some suggesting it needs to be adjusted for balance.

If you haven’t discovered them yet, the Smoke and Tagging Grenades in ARC Raiders are incredibly useful. The Smoke Grenade creates a dense fog that blocks vision – enemies outside can’t see inside, and vice versa. The Tagging Grenade automatically marks enemies within a 20-foot area, tracking their position for around 30 seconds. Using both together lets you effectively hide your team while still knowing where the enemy is and following their movements. However, this strategy isn’t perfect and has some drawbacks.

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with the Tagging Grenade, and it’s kinda weird. It tags anyone – downed enemies, live enemies, even those little ARC bots – all the same. That can get messy. If you throw it into smoke, the pings aren’t always accurate unless you’re absolutely sure you’re only tagging enemies. And honestly, this combo isn’t amazing out in the open. To really work, enemies need to stay in the smoke, which isn’t always happening in the bigger parts of the maps – they just move! Plus, the tag only lasts for 30 seconds, so you’ve got a really short time to actually take them out, making the whole thing a little risky if you ask me.

Even though they have some drawbacks, both of these items are becoming increasingly popular with players, particularly fans of ARC Raiders who enjoy player-versus-player combat. They’re likely to become a common tactic because most fights already happen indoors on maps like Stella Montis, where close-quarters battles are frequent. In these situations, using Smoke and Tagging Grenades together can be very effective. It will be interesting to see if players develop ways to overcome this strategy, or if the developers at Embark Studios adjust the gadgets to balance things out in the coming months.
