ARC Raiders Returning Player Loadouts Following Server Issues

Embark Studios is fixing an issue in ARC Raiders that caused server problems for about 12 hours. This caused some players to lose their weapons and gear unfairly. The servers are now back up, and Embark is restoring lost loadouts to affected players. Check your in-game inbox to see if your gear has been returned.

Since launching last October, ARC Raiders has been incredibly successful for Embark. It won Best Multiplayer at the 2025 Game Awards, quickly became a popular game on Steam, and has received excellent reviews from players and critics alike – selling over 12 million copies in just a few months. Embark has kept players engaged with regular, substantial updates throughout late 2025 and early 2026, adding new enemies, maps, weapons, and other content. Looking ahead, they’re preparing to release the highly anticipated Riven Tides update in April, which will introduce a brand-new map and a major new enemy type.

Embark Is Returning Loadouts to Some ARC Raiders Players

On April 1st, Embark Studios acknowledged server problems with ARC Raiders. Players worldwide reported crashes and unstable gameplay on all platforms, leading to significant loss of in-game items. These issues began around 9:30 PM ET and lasted for about 12 hours. By 8:00 AM ET the next day, Embark announced on their official Discord server that the servers were recovering and operating normally. The studio’s community manager later confirmed that players who lost items due to the outage would have them restored, stating that lost loadouts would be sent to their in-game inbox.

In ARC Raiders, your gear setup (loadout) is really important, so it’s good news that players are getting items back after a recent outage. The developers at Embark are consistently working to restore lost loadouts, especially if they were lost due to unfair play like cheating. While the system isn’t perfect, players who believe they lost gear because of hacks or exploits can report the offending player. If Embark confirms a violation of their terms of service, the cheater will be temporarily banned, and the lost gear will be returned to those affected.

Players who recently used the new weapons added in the ARC Raiders Flashpoint update should be getting their gear back soon. If you haven’t tried them yet, the Canto is a submachine gun that uses medium ammo and works great for fighting ARC enemies or other players. The Dolabra is quickly becoming popular – it’s an energy-based shotgun with two firing modes: a wide burst for general combat, or a focused beam of electricity.

The recent Flashpoint update hasn’t significantly boosted player numbers for ARC Raiders on Steam. While the game still has a solid 140,000+ daily players, it used to average around 250,000 before the update. Players are asking for more things to do after completing the main game, and it looks like a new map and weapons alone aren’t enough to bring them back.
