Embark Studios listened to player feedback and has added a duos mode to Arc Raiders. They’re also making cosmetic items in the game store more affordable. Since launching on October 30th, Arc Raiders has quickly become a popular extraction shooter, and it’s currently playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Man, Arc Raiders has totally blown up! It came out of nowhere and is easily one of the biggest games of 2025 – it’s even more popular than Battlefield 6, and it smashed the player record Helldivers 2 had! The team at Embark Studios knows they’ve got something special, because they’ve already announced a bunch of new stuff coming – a new map, more quests, and tons of other content over the next few months. It’s cool to see they’re really listening to what players like me are saying, too.
Arc Raiders Is Getting a Duos Mode and Cheaper Skins
Embark Studios announced on Twitter that they’re now focusing on matching duos together in Arc Raiders. Before, the game split players into solo and trio groups when finding matches. Now, the system will prioritize connecting duos with other duos. While it won’t always be perfect – duos might still encounter solos or trios – the developers explain this change will speed up matchmaking and should significantly improve the experience for players who prefer playing with a partner.
The team at Embark Studios is adjusting the prices of cosmetic items in Arc Raiders based on player feedback. The new prices will be available with the next store update on November 13th. If you’ve already bought a cosmetic item that’s now cheaper, you’ll receive a refund for the difference in Raider Tokens within the next week, so be sure to check your balance soon!
Embark Studios recently shared updates on the future of Arc Raiders, including details about “Raider Decks.” Currently, there’s one free Raider Deck available. The developers plan to release more decks, some free and some players can purchase. To ensure fair gameplay, new items that affect how you play will only be included in the free decks. Paid decks will focus solely on cosmetic items, like character skins. This approach has been well-received by players, who see it as a positive step for both the game and its community.
