Embark Studios released a new update for ARC Raiders on March 24th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, just before the game’s major Flashpoint update next week. While this update doesn’t add any new gameplay features or content, it includes new cosmetic items and important bug fixes designed to enhance the player experience, especially when exploring the Topside areas.
As a big fan of ARC Raiders, I’m getting really excited because the Flashpoint update is almost here! It drops on March 31st and it’s totally free. This is the third of four major updates Embark has planned for the game this year, and they actually laid out a roadmap back in January showing us everything coming through April. We don’t know if they’ll share another roadmap after the Riven Tides update in April, but honestly, there’s still so much to look forward to right now!
ARC Raiders Releases Update 1.21.0
As a big fan of ARC Raiders, I’m excited about the Flashpoint update coming next week! While we wait, Embark just dropped a new patch – update 1.21.0 – on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It’s not a huge update, but there are some cool new cosmetic items you can buy, like a Raider Tool and a new Backpack set. They also fixed a bunch of annoying bugs, including a crash on DirectX 11, an issue where you could get stuck in the Harvester, and even a cheeky exploit that let you walk through walls with certain items. It’s nice to see them keeping things polished while we get ready for the big update!

The team discussed the major content update coming next week, confirming they’re working hard to finalize it for release on March 31st. While details are still limited, Embark recently shared a short video hinting that the dangerous Shredder enemy will be appearing on a new map in ARC Raiders. The video’s caption, referencing open doors at Stella Montis and showing the Blue Gate tunnels, suggests the upcoming Flashpoint update will bring the Shredder to Blue Gate, expanding its reach beyond Stella Montis.
Flashpoint is launching just over a month after the major “Shrouded Sky” update for ARC Raiders, which brought a wealth of new content to the game. The update introduced the Hurricane Map Condition, featuring dangerous weather effects, and two new enemy types – the Firefly and Comet. The Firefly has quickly become one of the game’s most challenging foes. Players also got a new Raider Deck, the ability to customize their characters’ facial hair, a new area on the Dam Battlegrounds, and other additions.
Many players are especially looking forward to the Riven Tides update coming in April. The official plan for 2026 shows that this update will add a new map and a powerful new enemy to ARC Raiders. Fans have been guessing about what these will be, and early development clips hinted at a large, flying enemy, leading many to think it will be the next big threat after the Queen and Matriarch.
