Embark Studios, the team behind the popular shooter ARC Raiders, has just released a new update. Coming only a week after the major Flashpoint update, version 1.23.0 includes several improvements, adjustments, and bug fixes. Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can download it now.
Last week’s ARC Raiders Flashpoint update marks the nearing completion of the first phase of the game’s planned updates for 2026. Following a very successful launch late last year—even winning the Best Multiplayer award at the 2025 Game Awards—Embark released a roadmap at the start of the year outlining four major content drops between January and April. The first, Headwinds, introduced a new weather condition for the Buried City map and a debated 1v3 matchmaking system. February’s Shrouded Sky added new ARC enemies and a dangerous Hurricane map condition. Flashpoint, released on March 31st, brought even more content, but now Embark is addressing some problems caused by the latest update.
ARC Raiders Releases 1.23.0 Update
As a huge fan of ARC Raiders, I was so excited for the Flashpoint update last week! It added a ton of cool stuff – a really scary new ARC called the Vaporizer, a super challenging map condition called Close Scrutiny, plus new outfits and features for our scrappers. But, like with any big update for a game that’s always changing, it also brought a few problems. Good news though – a new update, version 1.23.0, just dropped, and it’s packed with fixes and improvements. Hopefully, everything’s running smoother now!
The latest update for ARC Raiders, version 1.23.0, is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It was delayed from April 7th, but includes the new Vanguard cosmetic set and a variety of bug fixes. Developers at Embark have fixed an issue where Trigger Nades could deal excessive damage, and resolved problems with items not being used immediately when switching weapons. They’ve also stopped weapons from firing on their own, a frustrating issue for many players.
Good news for players: Embark has corrected the audio for the Rocketeer after an unexpected change in the recent ARC Raiders Flashpoint update. While some thought this was a deliberate change, the update 1.23.0 patch notes confirm it was a mistake that’s now been fixed. Other improvements include smoother movement for Rocketeers and Vaporizers when standing still, a correction to a Stella Montis bug that caused players to fall through the floor, and a fix for a misleading weapon upgrade display that incorrectly showed weapons could reach level five.

A serious bug in ARC Raiders is still causing players to die, and it seems Embark hasn’t fixed it yet. After last week’s Flashpoint update, players found that if an ARC attacks while they’re carrying a battery or field crate, they can’t remove a Tick – leading to unavoidable death. Despite community requests for a fix, the April 8th update doesn’t address the problem. You can find the full update details in the patch notes below.
