ARC Raiders Reveals Two New Enemies for February’s Shrouded Sky Update

Embark Studios has unveiled the Shrouded Sky update for ARC Raiders, introducing two dangerous new enemy types, changes to Dam Battlegrounds, and other improvements. The update will launch on February 24th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This is the second of four large content updates planned for ARC Raiders in the first half of 2026.

Embark recently launched the Headwinds update for ARC Raiders, kicking off their plans for the game in 2026. This update included some surprising additions, like a new 1v3 matchmaking mode that sparked debate, and changes to the Buried City map with more birds, collectibles, and ziplines. Players also got two new Augments, plus a lot of bug fixes and improvements. Now, as February ends, Embark is preparing to release another significant update this week.

ARC Raiders Reveals New Details About Big Shrouded Sky Update

Embark recently announced details for the upcoming ARC Raiders update, Shrouded Sky, launching on February 24th. The update introduces a new “Hurricane” map condition, bringing reduced visibility, flying debris, and altered movement as players battle strong winds. Alongside this, a new Player Project called Weather Monitoring will be available. Players will work with Shani to gather materials and build a weather monitoring system, earning rewards for their contributions.

A recent trailer for the Shrouded Sky update showed off some new threats, and Embark has now officially confirmed that Firefly and Comet ARCs will be added to the game. The Firefly is a heavily armored, flying machine that shoots flames, quickly damaging players unless they dodge or take cover. The Comet is a spherical ARC that slowly moves across the ground, seeking out players. Once it finds a target, it locks on and then explodes with a powerful blast.

As announced last week, Embark is adding a popular request to ARC Raiders: facial hair! Starting with tomorrow’s update, all players will instantly receive the Stubble Beard cosmetic. The Full Beard will be unlocked through the Surgeon Raider Deck, also launching on February 24th. The Stubble Beard and Thick Moustache will also be available for purchase in the in-game store starting February 24th. That same update will add the Volare Set and Devotee Set to the store as well.

Embark is updating the popular Dam Battlegrounds map in ARC Raiders. A new area called Shrouded Sky will be added, creating a “Controlled Access Zone” guarded by enemies called Rocketeers. This zone will contain valuable loot, but its exact location remains a secret for now. Players will be able to explore Shrouded Sky and discover its location when the update launches on February 24th.
