What’s Coming in ARC Raiders Shrouded Sky Update

Following the January release of the Headwinds update, we’re excited to announce that the upcoming Shrouded Sky update for ARC Raiders will be significantly larger in terms of new content. Here’s a detailed look at everything coming in the Shrouded Sky update:

  • The Hurricane Map Condition: This map condition revolves around wind that will change some of the maps. Having a tailwind will make you fast, while going against the gale winds will reduce your stamina considerably and affect your speed. There is low visibility throughout the maps, meaning it will be harder to spot a raider from afar, so be careful of ambushes! Due to the strong winds, debris might fly around in the open areas, which can affect your shield if you are struck by it. You can also find valuable raider caches in random spots.
  • New ARC Threat: The devs haven’t announced any information about the new enemy, but from the small cameo in the teaser, we can deduce that it is a ground-based ARC. Since the gale force of the hurricane could possibly affect the flying ARCs, you will find the new ARC roaming the areas outside of the buildings.
  • There will be a few map changes, a new Project where you have to exchange items to get various rewards, and also a new Raider Deck that you can pretty much max out on the first day if you have enough Creds saved up.
  • Lastly, players can also take part in the second expedition window. This will increase your stash space by 24 in total from the base 280. You will also get 5 skill points and catch up on the five skill points if you missed the first expedition. There is a 10% XP boost now, along with a 12% boost to the materials Scrappy gathers. The value of repairs will also go up to 70%, which means in most cases a single repair will be enough to make most items usable for the next match. Apart from all of these, you will get new cosmetics for Scrappy and also your raider, which seems to be the evolved variant of the Patchwork Outfit.

With each update, weapons are adjusted for balance. Some weapons will be made weaker (nerfed) or stronger (buffed) based on how well they’re performing in the game and how often players are using them against AI enemies and other players online.
