ARC Raiders Teases Post-Launch Plans

Embark Studios announced that ARC Raiders will get several significant updates before 2025 ends. They hinted at these plans as part of a preview of their future content for the game, and a detailed roadmap outlining these updates will be released soon.

Okay, so I’m really hyped for ARC Raiders, that extraction shooter coming to PC and the new consoles. The release date is set for October 30th, 2025, and it’s getting closer! Nexon, the company that owns Embark Studios, has been really ramping up the marketing lately. I was listening to the Friends Per Second podcast this past Saturday – episode 81 – and Embark’s Executive Producer, Aleksander Grondal, was on there talking all about it.

Embark Teases ‘Ambitious’ Post-Launch Plans for ARC Raiders

Around two hours and four minutes into the stream, Grondal discussed Embark’s plans for the game after launch, calling them “ambitious.” They’re working on updates that will add new maps, ARCs (Autonomous Recon Constructs), and quests, along with the usual gameplay adjustments. While Embark intends to release these updates frequently, ARC Raiders won’t follow the standard seasonal model seen in many online games. Instead, the studio plans to release substantial updates whenever they’re fully polished and ready for players.

Stella Montis Content Possibly Coming Around Christmas

According to Grondal, the map Stella Montis might be added to the game before Christmas. Stella Montis is one of five launch maps – the others are Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, The Spaceport, and Blue Gate. While it wasn’t playable in the recent ARC Raiders test, Grondal stated it’s one of several major updates planned for the game before the end of 2025.

ARC Raiders 2026 Content Roadmap Coming Soon

The upcoming release of ARC Raiders won’t impact The Finals, the free-to-play shooter that launched in December 2023. According to Embark’s Grondal, while different teams develop each game, they collaborate and share resources. ARC Raiders won’t copy The Finals’ seasonal content model, but Embark plans to establish a consistent update schedule once they determine what players enjoy most. Grondal also mentioned that the complete content plan for ARC Raiders in 2026 will be finished soon.

ARC Raiders will cost $39.99 for the standard edition and $59.99 for the Deluxe Edition. Players on PC and consoles will be able to play together seamlessly, meaning anyone can join any game regardless of their platform.
