ARC Raiders is quickly becoming a popular game, and its exciting combat is a major reason why. Players have access to a wide range of weapons and tools for both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment battles, but the Trigger ‘Nade is proving to be particularly effective.
This small explosive is surprisingly powerful. While it can damage enemy defenses, it’s most effective against other players. Some players think it’s too effective and are asking for it to be weakened, as it’s ending raids too quickly.
This guide explains if the Trigger ‘Nades in ARC Raiders are being weakened, and why players think they need to be.
Are Trigger ‘Nades Being Nerfed In ARC Raiders?

The team behind ARC Raiders is considering making Trigger ‘Nades less powerful, according to a community manager.
The information first appeared on the ARC Raiders Discord server. When a player asked a Community Manager named Lily about updates to balance the game for player-versus-player combat – specifically mentioning ‘Trigger ‘Nades’ – Lily quickly replied:
The team is considering some adjustments to the game, potentially weakening trigger grenades. Watch the #game-announcements channel for the latest news!
Currently, that’s all the information available about the upcoming change to the Trigger ‘Nade in ARC Raiders. Embark Studios has confirmed it’s happening, but details about exactly how it will work and when it will be released are still forthcoming.
One thing TopMob is certain of, though, is that the nerf can’t come soon enough.
Why Are Trigger ‘Nades Being Nerfed In ARC Raiders?

Currently, the Trigger ‘Nade in ARC Raiders is far too powerful, making most other useful items unnecessary.
The Trigger ‘Nade was designed to be a trap – players were meant to place it and then detonate it when enemies got close. But players have discovered it’s more effective as an impact grenade because it explodes so quickly and deals a huge amount of damage.
As a Rust player, let me tell you, the Trigger ‘Nade is absolutely broken! Seriously, one well-placed throw can wipe out a whole group of three raiders – it does insane damage and covers a huge area. And the worst part? They’re super cheap to make! You can find the materials – Crude Explosives and Processors – everywhere, which means everyone’s running around with these things. It’s a bit much, honestly.
With all its strengths combined, the Trigger ‘Nade is incredibly powerful, almost like a small nuclear weapon. Players have been asking for it to be toned down for a while, and it’s good to hear that the developers at Embark Studios recognize it’s currently too strong—hopefully they’ll address it soon.
