In the hit series Arcane, one of its beloved characters has often been likened to a Disney Princess. This likeness is not lost on many fans, as numerous pieces of fan art online seamlessly blend these two characters together.

The animated show, “Arcane,” which was influenced by “League of Legends,” became incredibly popular when it debuted on Netflix. Many people admired its storyline, graphics, and characters. Even though the series concluded after just two seasons, it seemed that fans were still deeply affected by it. In fact, there was a significant amount of artwork dedicated to one of the main characters.

3D character artist Layla Viscu showcased her creation, a blend of Arcane’s Jinx and Disney’s Rapunzel. Using ZBrush and Maya, she transformed Jinx, retaining her face and hair but replacing the electric blue tresses with Rapunzel’s golden locks. The artist cleverly combined elements of both characters, designing a new costume for Jinx that showcased a sexier take on Rapunzel’s traditional outfit. This included a fitted corset-style bodice, short puffed sleeves, and a midriff exposure, along with swapping the full skirt for capri pants with stripes. Viscu affectionately titled this project “Jinx-punzel” and briefly shared its origin. According to her, the concept was born from a challenge by ZugZug studio on their Discord page, where participants were asked to reimagine characters, props, or environments from the Runeterra universe while preserving an Arcane style and transforming them into playable models.

It was discovered that numerous fans have been drawing parallels between the character Jinx and the Disney princess, Rapunzel. Numerous posts on social media have depicted Jinx with her exceptionally long hair, resembling Rapunzel’s iconic look. One particular piece of fan art showcases Jinx’s long blue tresses styled like Rapunzel’s and dressed in a costume similar to hers, but with an unusual twist: one boot on one foot and a magenta heel on the other. The caption for this artwork reads, “Get ready, the saturation is intense! I’m creating some champions in the likeness of Disney characters, first up is Jinx as Rapunzel. It’s a study in color, I can’t believe you guys found the idea already in my WIP (work in progress) sketches! You people are amazing!” This concept was echoed in numerous other artworks, demonstrating that many view Jinx as similar to Rapunzel.

Initially, Jinx and Rapunzel seem to be polar opposites, but upon closer inspection, they share some striking similarities. For instance, they both boast long, braided tresses – Jinx with a more disheveled, untamed style, while Rapunzel’s braid is embellished with flowers. They also possess slender figures and large, expressive eyes that aid in conveying their emotions effectively.

However, their hair colors starkly contrast one another: Rapunzel’s golden locks are enchanting, soft, and filled with a magical warmth, while Jinx’s hair is dark and carries a punk-rock vibe.

As for their personalities, both characters have experienced trauma – Jinx at the hands of Silco, and Rapunzel under Mother Gothel’s control. They are naive, sheltered, and display strong emotional responses to their circumstances.

While Rapunzel finds solace in love and kindness, Jinx leans into her darker instincts, leading her down a path of chaos and violence. In terms of appearance and background, these two characters share some resemblances; however, their individual journeys and coping mechanisms differ significantly.
