Initially, Viktor was a dedicated scientist in Season 1; however, he morphed into a ruthless antagonist seeking global domination in Season 2.

In Season 2 of Arcane, the creators chose not to simply match the bar set in the first season, instead opting to amplify every aspect, notably the music and animation. The animation in Arcane’s second season showcased fresh and distinct styles in nearly every episode. For instance, Episode 1 adopted a pencil-sketch grayscale style, Episode 3 started with a graphic novel-style montage, and Episode 6 depicted memories in watercolor paintings. Each episode of Arcane Season 2 offered the animators an opportunity to experiment with something new while still maintaining the unique animation style that made the series shine in its first season. Moreover, the soundtrack nearly doubled in size, featuring original tracks from artists such as Twenty One Pilots, King Princess, and d4vd, which harmoniously complemented the on-screen action and themes. Contrary to expectations for a potential decline in quality, Arcane Season 2 surpassed all predictions.
