Arena Breakout Team Mocks Escape from Tarkov in Deleted Social Post

The creators of Arena Breakout: Infinite, a game previously criticized for being too similar to Escape from Tarkov, recently made fun of the official launch of Escape from Tarkov. Their social media post highlighted the server problems Escape from Tarkov was experiencing, but it was quickly taken down by the Arena Breakout team’s social media managers.

People reacted strongly to the post, with many criticizing Arena Breakout: Infinite. They said the game wasn’t running well, fewer and fewer people were playing it, and it hadn’t really brought anything new to the shooting game scene.

Arena Breakout: Infinite arrived on Steam two months ago, gaining popularity before Escape from Tarkov and reaching a high of around 66,000 concurrent players. When Escape from Tarkov finally launched on Steam, it peaked at 21,000 players, though technical difficulties kept many from playing.

Arena Breakout: Infinite recently made fun of server issues in the game Escape from Tarkov in a social media post that has since been removed.

The post was quickly taken down, probably because of the negative comments criticizing MoreFun Studios and Arena Breakout: Infinite. One player commented that while they enjoy the game, the constant comparisons and negativity towards Tarkov on Twitter were embarrassing and reflected poorly on Arena Breakout. Another user said the Arena Breakout community was too focused on trying to one-up Tarkov, which they found ridiculous.

We got more data from Twitch showing how many people are watching. It turns out around 300,000 viewers prefer to watch a menu instead of the 3,000 who are actually playing the game, ABI.

In 2024, Arena Breakout: Infinite faced accusations from Battlestate Games, who claimed the game illegally copied assets and content from their game, Escape from Tarkov. I recently spoke with representatives from MoreFun Studios at Gamescom to get their response to these claims.

As a huge fan, seeing Escape from Tarkov finally hit 1.0 is incredible! It’s been ten years of hard work for the developers, and honestly, they’ve completely changed what extraction shooters can be. They’ve constantly innovated and redefined the genre, and it’s amazing to see that dedication pay off.
