Studio Wildcard has unveiled a fresh ARK: Survival Evolved content plan. This reveal details almost two years’ worth of updates planned for the game, namely ARK: Survival Evolved.
The updated version of the popular survival crafting game, “ARK: Survival Evolved,” was first released in a pre-completed state around late November 2023. Since then, Studio Wildcard has consistently provided new content for “ARK: Survival Ascended.
As a devoted follower, I can’t contain my excitement as I share the latest update from the Redmond-based developers on the progress of “ARK: Survival Ascended.” Their updated roadmap extends all the way to late 2026! The first item on their revised agenda isn’t just new content, but a technical upgrade. They’re planning to transition our favorite game to Unreal Engine 5 version 5.5, promising substantial performance enhancements.
And Unfortunately, it was withdrawn in the latter half of 2024 due to engine-related complications, but now it seems we’ll get to enjoy it once again. This update is music to my ears and I can hardly wait!

The upcoming UE5 update for Ark: Survival Evolved continues Studio Wildcard’s work on streamlining game data. This is to enable players to download DLC packs separately, making it easier to manage the game’s file size. Additionally, the revamped version will introduce new content in April 2025, such as a new creature called the Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.
In June 2025, a new map for the game “ARK: Survival Ascended” is scheduled to release as paid DLC. Studio Wildcard has announced this upcoming addition, with more details to be shared in the coming months, possibly around early spring. Furthermore, an additional creature chosen by the community and a new tame will be incorporated into the game in August 2025.
2026 marks an exciting time for me, as Studio Wildcard concentrates on enhancing the Genesis expansions for ARK: Survival Evolved. In April 2026, Survival Ascended will debut with Genesis: Part 1, followed four months later by Part 2. Both releases will coincide with one part of Bob’s True Tales, a fresh content drop that was earlier teased as part of the game’s season pass. Moreover, a revamped Fjordur map is slated to arrive in December 2026 as a free upgrade. To top it off, Studio Wildcard intends to introduce three new Fantastic Tames across 2026. There might also be some smaller surprises in the pipeline for the next two years, as the developer’s recently disclosed roadmap offers a broad view rather than a detailed sneak peek of what’s coming up in ARK: Survival Ascended in the near future.
